I’m a longtime patron. Terrific food. BUT., would you please fix the front of the restaurant? Paint that graffiti wall and WASH those filthy windows. Simple tasks which would greatly improve your appearance. It’s really disgusting. Thank you.

Great spot when you have a hankering for some Chinese food. The place is very unassuming but don’t let that fool you - the food is delicious! The variety is mind boggling but so far everything we’ve tried has been great.

The Dan dan noodles are amazing. A bit spicy and great taste. After that, the food was too good I forgot to take images. We had soup dumplings, Yang chow fried rice is always a hit paired with Azou chicken. This place is a Chelsea staple and a must try.

We found a worm in our broccoli and they seem incredibly unconcerned. Their response was very “oh this happens all the time” and they proceeded to not comp our entire meal. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

We chose this restaurant because we were sure there would be some dish that would suit all and we were right. Prompt efficient service coupled with huge so clean looking plates of food. Delicious and tasty. Prices are reasonable as well.

Food was alright, thinking maybe we didn’t order correctly. Liked the Dan Dan noodles but wouldn’t recommend the eggplant or kung pao tofu. Also, the wait staff wasn’t as attentive and hard to flag down when we needed them.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 20 years, and so we were very disappointed to have experienced what others have called “impatient and rude”service. When my lower tip (13%) reflected our experience, the waitress even had the nerve to come ask for more money and argue with us about it! I don’t know what has happened but we always had such a great experience at this place, it’s a real shame they have ruined it.

Their xiao long bao is surprisingly delicious! I really like the skin texture (made from wheat? Idk) and smoky taste of broth within it

Well... if you know, you know... if you don't know and are reading this - this place is a hidden staple! Why does the website suck and the pics online of the menu show basically nothing if what this place is about. it's weird. Anyhow, this is classic no frill Sichuan Chinese cooking.

This restaurant has been around for a long time but we haven’t been here for years. Everything stays similar, average service and delicious food. Definitely recommend the eggplants with garlic sauce. Ma Po tofu wasn’t bad either.

Soup Dumplings here are a must! The crab and pork dumplings are so juicy and flavorful! Also their crispy quail is very flavorful and tender! I only wish they had a sweet chili sauce for it, as it only comes with white rice which can kind of be a dry combo. Good customer service and even a restroom which is rare in restaurants nowadays.

I’ll start by saying the food was decently served with reasonable portion sizes and will definitely satisfy a craving if your in the mood for Chinese. However, for the price your paying I recommend ordering out! The dine in experience is less than mediocre especially if your looking for a modern and CLEAN sanitary environment. Place looks as if it’s never been renovated. This makes me question the sanitary conditions of the kitchen ?. I won’t be going back but as always the choice is yours.

I have passed Grand Sichuan many times but never went in and when they posted their lunch specials for $9.95, I had to go in and try it. The food and the service are wonderful. I had the Orange Flavored Beef, which was a deep fried beef in a tangy and spicy combination of Plum and Hunan sauce with fiery chilies. It was a nice sized portion served with white rice and there was plenty to dip in the sauce. The beef was perfectly cooked and very crisp. The egg roll was standard but still very good with a combination of cabbage and roast pork. It was also perfectly cooked and crisp. The service was very quick because I came at a pretty quiet time at 3:00pm and the waitress could not have been nicer. The only bad thing about the restaurant is that it is pretty dated. Besides that, the food and service are wonderful and it is a great place to go for lunch when you are on a budget and don't want to head to Chinatown.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in NYC! I’ve been coming here for many years. Be sure to order from the Szechuan section of the menu, not the other sections which are not as special. My favorite dishes are soup dumplings, braised whole fish in spicy black bean sauce, pea shoots, and Au Zhou chicken. YUM!!!!!!
