The food was quite good, especially the amazing soup dumplings. Although there was a bit of a wait, the stunning atmosphere of the restaurant more than made up for it—perfect for Instagram photos!

Absolutely my favorite restaurant now! Hubby and I have been three times and each time has been amazing! The decor and artwork inside is beautiful and the food is incredibly delicious! Definitely try the "Kung Pao Shrimp" - your taste buds will go wild! and the "Crispy Skin Chicken"...oh my God, the best! Also try their cocktail called "West Lake Potion" - totally different than any other cocktail with an interestingly good taste ??. On our last visit, we were served complimentary dishes: Vegetable Spring Rolls and I believe some type of Zucchini with a mouth-watering glaze! Our waitress Estefanie (sorry if I misspelled) has been our waitress each time and she's super nice along with all the other staff. Bathrooms are clean and each stall has its own private door with a sink inside. Surprisingly, we never had a problem finding parking. Five stars all the way!

Went here for a birthday gathering. The food was okay. I ordered a coconut ginger flip drink. When it arrived, it tasted sour. I didn’t know if it was suppose to be like that so I asked the server. This should be a simple yes and no answer but the server just took the drink away. Later, she returned with a new coconut drink and it tasted sweeter. She originally didn’t even give an explanation so I asked her what happened to my previous drink. She said “it was a different drink.” I was left confused cuz the drink looks the same. It couldn’t be a different drink. Now I am afraid that the previous drink has gone bad… if she said that the bartender got the recipe proportions wrong, it could’ve been more understandable.
Another occasion today was that I accidentally dropped one of my chopsticks. When it dropped, the server saw it and picked it up and smiled at me. Then she went to the kitchen and never gave me a new pair of chopstick. Isn’t it standard to give out a new pair of utensils if you see your guest dropped one????

The interior is very well-established and takes you right back to the same Grandma’s Home spots in China. However, the food fell a bit short of expectations. Some dishes stood out - like the 红烧肉 Hong Shao Rou, which was tender and flavorful without being overly fatty. The 桂花糯米藕 lotus sticky rice was also a nice surprise, with a satisfying sweetness and glutinous texture that made for a great appetizer. Unfortunately, the 茶香鸡 claypot chicken was a letdown; it tasted bland and overcooked, more like grocery store rotisserie chicken than a flavorful claypot dish. For the price, the quality didn’t quite match up. The 上汤丝瓜 loofah melon also lacked flavor and was surprisingly mild.
It was exciting to see a Grandma’s Home location outside of China, but the quality will need some improvement to reach the original standard.

Lunch special was great value and delicious. Great service. They packaged the food for to-go so nicely and in separate containers, I appreciate that!

Food is good but service is some of the worst I’ve had in the city and it’s happened all three times I’ve come which is unacceptable.

The restaurant layout and tableware are clean and tidy, and the service is also very good. But the taste of the food can be improved.

As a hangzhouer, I’m super happy after the dinner, wish they could have more choices. Cocktail in Chinese is fun.

Took my Chinese parents here for dinner . This is one of the worst Chinese restaurants I've been to in NY. The food was just so bland and all of their signature dishes (braised pork 紅燒肉was terrible) were so bad. Service was great the servers and managers were really nice about it when we complained how we didn't like the food. But we'll never come back here again if the restaurant can't even make their food taste good at this price point.

Wow, we loved this place! Highlights were the crispy soy glazed fish, black pepper ribeye, and crispy eggplant - each of these 3 dishes oozed with flavor and wowed us. That said no dish was bad and even the cocktails we found very tasty.
The service was also terrific. The food came out within 5 minutes, but we didn't feel rushed at all in taking our time to enjoy the meal. The soy glazed fish was actually given to us for free!
For the full experience of delicious food, great service, and creative interior design, the pricing is extremely reasonable. I'd highly recommend for any meal and occasion!
