Took a short cut and found Grano - we had whole wheat toast with cream cheese and smoked salmon very good.

The food was so-so and the portion was a bit small and I was still hungry at the end.

As usual it took another Yelper do a check in for me to realized that the Olympic Tower had a nice Italian style cafe inside. Grando is spread across one end of the atrium lobby with three sections, a custom drink and juice bar, a counter where you can get warm food, breads, pastries, and coffee, and another section for pre-made and package meals like sandwiches and soups. They have friendly staff that are quick on there feet attending to customers. I saw this big flat sandwich that was called 'Milanese Focaccia' which is focaccaia bread, breaded chicken cutlet, slice tomatoes, romaine lettuce, and mayo. Only thing missing was some cheese like mozzarella which I thought it would have had but it's not part of the Ingredients from the menu. But It wouldn't surprise me if next time the staff wouldn't add it in for me and heat it because they were so cool when I was there. There are comfy places to sit and even though it is across the street from Rockefeller Center and St Parick's there where no tourist that I could tell lending to a peaceful lunch oasis.

Great location, with floor-to-ceiling windows across from St. Patrick's Cathedral. Great selection of food, though they were still putting things out when I got there. Everything looked super-fresh. I had a tasty donut and coffee, and they gave me a free top-off. Staff was pleasant.

I always walk past this place. I thought I'd try it out today. Inside is nice. It is an open space no rush. They have good amount of varieties of Italian food and drinks. I got a veggie lasagna which was okay and overpriced. Nothing great, special. I also got a pannacotta. Which was nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. For what I paid to eat here, I will not go back. The service is terrible. The cashier looks miserable no hi, hello, big time attitude. No thanks or bye. What happened to customer service?? If I am not wrong that's part of the purchasing experience. Any place that does not have good customer service, and mind you even have good food is not worth going back to. I might go back to crappy food but good service but not the opposite. SORRY!

Not in love with this place. It is basically the Italian version of Pret a Manger. I like that its quick and clean and has a great view of the cathedral across the street. What I don't appreciate is the price vs portion. Items pack a punch in terms of taste but the portions are to tiny to be charging $10+ for a sandwich. Either way I thought it was ok all in all but theres a fat chance i'll return.

Pros - the decor is very nice and comforting. You'd love to stop by and have a healthy juice with a toast in the seating area. I'd recommend this place if you need some time to read up on a project over lunch. Cons - I did not like the Turkey Baguette Sandwich I ordered. It was cold with no flavor. Should have gone with a juice! (note: the entrance is on 51st street between 5th ave and Madison. Don't trust google maps! This location is inside the lobby of Olympic Tower and the restaurant has put up a sign on the street walk).

I must say this is one of a few RELAXING and spacious coffee shops with WiFi in Manhattan (3.5 star, 2019/3/29). Many places are usually packed with tourists or business people who rush in and out or with no seating space at all. This place provides a wide variety of drink and quality pastries/bakery. It is QUIET and has plenty of single seatings as well as some flexible 2top tables (2pm). A high ceiling with some green walls and art works also help you feel less of high stress in this city. I'll be back!

Solid option for healthy food and Italian options: from salads to smoothies, sandwiches and lasagna. Fruits and desserts are great too. If you just want to stop for a coffee, you might as well stop here. With some nice seats and the Olympic Tower restroom, you are all served. It gets busy at lunch time, logically. I tend to come after 4 pm, when everything is 50% off. A bit pricey but that comes with the area it is in.

A lovely place to eat, people watch, have a meeting, or just take a moment to relax. I was scheduled to meet with a filmmaker but I was not familiar with the location so I arrived a bit early to get acclimated with the area. Grano is quite a nice place and my food was very tasty. I enjoyed the environment and look forward to returning for more meetings, hopefully the next one will make me famous.

Minestrone soup had a thick layer of fat globules on the top. Similarly, the turkey and avocado sandwich was dripping in mayo. The counter workers were very gracious in trying to help, but there was little they could do about the sub-standard pre-prepared food. The atmosphere was very nice, but the food was crummy.

Got the smoked salmon toast. Salmon tasted great but the bread was a little tough. Nice indoors and bathrooms were kind of small. Friendly staff
