Great bartender, fun little dive bar that has a lot of good vibes. Good drinks that were reasonably priced for the area. Definitely check it out for a chill, not pretentious time!

My friends and I went into this bar last night (11/26) and the bartender with dark hair and a beard was very rude. My friend had received rude and unwelcoming service when ordering drinks. We had decided to close the tab due to the rude service, he had noticed we didnt tip and had asked “would you like to leave a tip?” With an attitude and when we told him no thank you due to his service, he became even more rude and had told us “sorry you couldn’t get into fiddlesticks” we had thought that was funny because that wasn’t the case, he returned to our section and stated “after you finish your drinks you need to leave immediately.” We hadn’t been rude, we didn’t cause a scene, we finished our drinks and left. He then proceeded to walk outside with us to smoke his cigarette and one of my friends had approached him and told him to have a nice night to be polite after having tension, and he continued to berate us about the tip and so we proceeded to leave. Any other instance we’ll always tip, but if you have a bad service and are rude of course you’re not going to get one. He had stated to us “you think i like working for free?” Which would’ve been a fair point had he given us good and friendly service but that was not the case. And reading through reviews it seems this place has a lot of issues when servicing people of color, which could explain his rudeness to my friends and i since we obviously weren’t white which was the demographic of this bar location.

I had a friend visiting town and this was definitely the most friendly we went to in the West Village. Brenda was a fantastic bartender and also wonderful to talk to. I’ll be back frequently.

An absolute gem in the village
Been here twice now and I cannot recommend it enough. It's quaint, has a very good selection of beer and drinks. The vibes are impeccable and it's just a cool place to unwind and stare out the window to the streets below as you enjoy a drink

Our group was subjected to unacceptable behavior from the bartender, who was dismissive, rude, and discriminatory. Despite having legal identification, he refused service and made degrading remarks about our country. As guests in this city, we expected to be treated with basic respect, and instead we were met with prejudice. A bar that allows this kind of treatment should be held accountable. I will not be returning.

I experienced blatant discrimination at this bar. The bartender refused to accept a valid foreign ID without explanation and treated us with open hostility. He made inappropriate comments about our nationality, which were both offensive and unprofessional. It was a deeply uncomfortable and disrespectful experience. No one—especially visitors from abroad—should be treated like this. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I had the worst experience at this place. A racist and condescending bartender didn’t want to take our order. Not only did he not accept our valid foreign ID but insulted us and our country. I would never come back and wouldn’t advise anyone to go there.

To the bartender who had the nerve to come up to my boyfriend and confront him about the tip he left , you are truly disgusting and I hope you get fired. We intended on staying and ordering more drinks but instead decided on leaving and not dealing with rude bartender with no manners. Definitely give this place a 0/10 and would never go back ever again and neither should anyone else !
