very few baristas are nice & welcoming. i love the lattes from this place but they are inconsistent. sometimes too milky, sometimes decent sometimes perfect. Matcha is also not ceremonial grade….

On most days if you come in and say “Good Morning” you don’t receive a response back, which is fine the workers can be busy and doing their own thing. Today, as I was in a rush to grab my coffee, I only gave a quick smile. As I was leaving the workers behind the counter made mocking comments like “oh thank you. And have a good day too.” It’s not a big deal and I know they deal with awful customers, but if you’re working in customer service that’s not how to be.

This is absolutely hands down My Favorite Coffee Shop ☕️ in All of NYC. The Flavors are Out of this World. The Salted Caramel Cold Brew is Delicious and their Newest Black Forest Latte is Amazing. The Barista's put such Love ❤️ into every cup. The Manager is as Sweet as Pie and Eli is Sooo Caring and has taken the time to makes sure My experience at Gregory's is beyond words, than I can Express in this Post. Not to mention the smell of the coffee lifts You to another atmosphere. I Love You Guys💕💕💕💕💕
We stop here about once a week for the last couple of years. Usually after lunch in the area or after doctor appts. Today we had a scone and americano coffee. They warmed the scone and it was delicious. Much better than at other coffee/bakeries. Very nice place to sit and relax. We usually bring daily newspaper to read.
Went back again today and enjoyed a great cup of Americano coffee and a delicious scone. Highly recommend this combo.

I will start will the positive. My first visit to Gregory’s was pretty good! I got a strawberry matcha (first photo) and a few pastries for pickup. I appreciate when a cafe’s matcha powder isn’t pre-sweetened, and they have unsweetened non-dairy options. The scone and banana bread were tasty, and much larger than I anticipated. I could chalk up the lack of good customer service to placing a mobile order. I didn’t have to interact with the cashier, but I wasn’t greeted when I walked in or even acknowledged when I said “thank you” once my drink came out either. Regardless of the service (or lack thereof), I enjoyed the strawberry matcha and decided to come back. I placed a mobile order again, received the same level of service (wouldn’t have been a bother had I received a good drink), but did not receive the same quality of drink. The second and third pictures show what I received the second time. I waited a few minutes for my drink in the cafe, but still thought maybe the foam had melted into the drink (instantaneously?), but there was simply no strawberry foam - no remnants of strawberry flavor even. No trace of pink, just 2 slices of freeze dried strawberry. That being said, it was a fine matcha latte. If that was what I had ordered and paid for, I’d be content. Quality control seems to be lacking.
