I just visited Gregorys Coffee at 6th Avenue and 31st Street in Manhattan and was extremely disappointed with the service and value. Here’s why:

After waiting patiently in line, I ordered a small decaf coffee and a walnut scone. When asked if I wanted drip, I said, “Whatever is quickest.” Despite this, I stood watching as the staff prepared drinks for multiple people who ordered after me before finally handing me mine.

When I did receive my coffee, it was only half full. Yes—half a cup. (see photo)

As for the food, the walnut scone and coffee were fine but absolutely not worth the $9 I paid for this underwhelming combo.

I'm glad I didn’t leave a tip, and even more relieved that there are plenty of other coffee options nearby. I’ll be taking my business to one of them instead of returning to a place with such poor service and portion sizes.

Ordered a small Flatwhite served in a giant 12 oz cup is a BIG NO NO !!!!
Specially when coffee is 6$ you expect something better 😕.

A dependable spot for early morning coffee runs. The staff is courteous, and the coffee is always fresh.

The skinny sandwich is $6.15 on gregory app and about $7ish on the food delivery apps. Pretty expensive for the portion. Not aN initial buy. it's pretty small and not flavorful.

I’ve come to this exact location a couple times now and I can say that I really do love the store itself because I’ve been to multiple locations for this store. Has the worst service ever. It’s a very busy working Aria so you would think that people would be super timely and efficient with how they managed their service but they aren’t

Unfortunately, the experience was not good. I went on Monday afternoon and received very poor service from one of the employees. Her attitude was unfriendly, and the overall service was disappointing. It’s a shame because the place has potential, but customer service is key—and in this case, it was seriously lacking.

Good coffee, though you need to be adamant with your order, barista messed up, either she was new or just the basic NYC fast paced customer service

This was texted to Gregory’s customer service: There is an employee that works the afternoon/evenings, a woman with glasses. I stop by and buy the same order every Tuesday at 6:30, a pastry and an iced coffee. And last week she had asked if I wanted the buy one, get 50% off, mentioned it was okay, that I just wanted the one and if I got two one would go to waste. Asked if I was sure, said yes. Yesterday, it was very visible she was having a bad day or whatever, but she was from the start rude and dismissive, interrupting me while ordering. That went ignored, but when she gave me my order, i saw two of them, and when I asked for attention, without looking at me she interrupted me again jus blurting out that it is a buy one get one free (incorrect), I told her I didnt want the second one and got extremely frustrated and confrontational at having to do a transaction. I repeated I didn't want it and that just last week she at least had asked me about it and just replied she didnt rememeber (ofc not), and proceeded to reimburse two dollars- so NOT buy one get one free. It’s NY and midtown, so the miserable vibes are understandable, but a line should be drawn at unnecessary confrontation with your own customers and misleading them to consume more.

If you’re planning to grab something here, get ready to basically shout your order or talk super loud because the music is blasting so hard you can’t hear each other. The barista keeps having to ask what you said over and over because they literally can’t hear you.

Consistently good, and excellent vegan comfort options.

Very friendly staff and a nice casual atmosphere with good music. They don't pretend to be something they're not, and that's what you get.

They serve a decent espresso which is all I ask for when going out. The cranberry scone is (significantly) better when fresh. It's very good when it's a couple of hours old but nothing beats a fresh scone!

Been there twice now, espresso was the same both times. The price is great for what you get!
