Ambiance is worth it!

I visited Saturday night, around 8:45 PM. Food was good, but not everything impressed. The fried oysters and bread were strong starters, but a couple of the vegetable dishes felt overly salty, and portion sizes were smaller than expected for the price. Nothing was bad, just not consistently standout.

Service felt a bit stretched that night. Our server was polite, but it took a while to get drinks and even longer between courses, likely due to how busy it was.

Overall, it’s a solid restaurant with a great atmosphere, but I’d probably try it again on a weeknight when it’s less packed to see if the experience is more consistent.

Amazing and interesting menu. Each dish was exciting and fun. We realized after our meal that we accidentally ordered and ate all vegetarian. Get the cheezits and the squash rings! The schnitzel was delicious as was the carrot hummus. Whatever that chocolate caramel dessert with marshmallow on top is… GET IT! Maybe get two.

While the decor and vibe upscale I must say I am very disappointed with the food. Every plate and fish seemed to be soaked in vinegar and salt, from the beets to the burger, etc. Thus, unfortunately, it is not worth the price as the waiters while lovely rush you every 10 minutes.

The food is incredible. We live in the neighborhood and it’s one of our favorite restaurants in the area.

We booked a last minute dinner for our large family on Christmas Eve, the staff were so accommodating, the restaurant is lovely. Compliments to Chef Dan, the food was delicious, definitely recommend, we are definitely returning on our next trip to NYC in the spring. A special thank you to Marcelo who made us feel very welcome

This is the place where you were disappointed. Nice and chill vibe, the waitress over there is super patient and friendly, the food is great like always.

I really wanted to like this place. I live nearby and was hoping this would become a regular neighborhood spot. Unfortunately, after two very expensive visits, I can’t recommend it.

We first dined here for Thanksgiving and spent well over $600–$700. The experience was bad enough that I left detailed feedback through Resy. To their credit, the Food & Beverage Director followed up thoughtfully and offered a $50 gift card, which I appreciated. Because of that outreach, I returned in good faith with visiting family, hoping things had improved.

They had not.

Friday night around 8pm, with the restaurant about half full, we were seated and left for several minutes with no acknowledgment, no water, and no greeting. We had to flag someone down just to start service.

Our initial server did not know the menu or wine list well. She recommended bottles that were unavailable and suggested food options that conflicted with a severe nut allergy we had clearly disclosed. An appetizer arrived with breadsticks that were obviously stale. When we asked for a fresh batch, the response was dismissive (“well what side do you want?”), followed by checking “if it was possible” to replace them, dropping the new bread on the table, and disappearing with no follow-up.

Midway through the meal, service shifted to another server whose tone was openly curt and hostile. When we asked a simple question about having a nightcap or possibly going downstairs to Spygold, we were spoken to in a dismissive and uncomfortable way, enough that we chose to end the evening early. When it came time to pay his demeanor immediately changed into over-the-top friendliness once it was time to get tipped.

The food itself is decent and the space is attractive, which makes this all the more frustrating. But hospitality matters, especially at this price point. Across two visits, the consistent issues were poor service, lack of professionalism, and staff who seemed resentful of guests.

If you’re looking for a lively delicious restaurant and nightlife venue, book a resy at Greywind\Spygold.

Happy hour draws a great crowd. Not surprised because of well priced and delicious cocktails! ( $12 for a nice Collins).

I went to celebrate my birthday and every person from Angelo, the manager to Marcelo our server went above and beyond.

What also makes Greywind stand out is the taste. We tried the vegetables ( broccoli and baby lettuce), Butternut Bread, Ribeye, and Chocolate Tart for dessert.

All dishes unique thanks to the head chef’s menu.

Along with the dishes, Spygold is such a sleek and cool spot to grab drinks around a fireplace. Julio is someone who also brought out little treats to celebrate.

Overall, this a warm environment with unique flavors in dishes and cocktails :)

I’ll definitely be back.

Thank you to Greywind & Spygold.

All courses were delicious. Love the delicato squash rings, beet salad, glazed carrots, and scallops. Preparation is very thoughtful and a little different. Really enjoy this restaurant. Brought a friend and he thought it was a real find. It’s also very attractive
