I had been feeling both physically sick and homesick, and decided to give Grill 21 a try on UberEats because they serve lugaw (definitely a go-to). I had tried some Filipino spots in Manhattan, but hadn't been too impressed. That was until I tried Grill 21. This is the most authentic it gets on this island. While eating here, Manhattan might as well be the 7,002nd Philippine Island. I ordered the Lugaw Tokwa't Baboy. The flavors, the spices, and textures all worked together to bring me back to my Lola's house. My housemate also tried their grilled pork belly meal, and let me tell you - that meat melts in your mouth. Absolutely delicious, and the big servings are truly Pinoy. Once I'm healed, I definitely need to try the Sizzling Sisig next.

I’m very disappointed in this restaurant and order. For a $100 delivery order, and almost all of their dishes eaten with rice, they are very stingy and reserved with the amount of rice with their orders. Such a disappointment. Even Chinese restaurant give a larger amount of rice with their dishes.I wouldn’t recommend to order here because you will only receive about 3 tablespoons of rice with your main dish.

So glad I found this place to host my bday dinner because I had an amazing experience!! Not a lot of restaurants in NYC can even host 16 people so I was very happy to hear that they were able to accommodate. The food was really delicious and the staff were SO insanely kind. My fav dishes were probably the grilled fish and coconut spinach curry! (Forgot what it was called but you have to try it).I accidentally placed a lot of guys at one end so they ended up finishing the food on their side a lot faster but they just ended up adding more rice, pork belly, and lumpia’s without additional charge! My friends also got me a cake and they provided knifes and plates WITHOUT a cutting fee!!!!!!! oh and they gave me a free dessert because it was my birthday. All around, great experience!

Brought my friends to try the authentic Filipino food. This place is good.!! We had crispy pata, chicken adobo, sinigang na baboy, lumpia Shanghai and cassava cake for dessert!!! ( the pinipig-a sort rice cake crumble, on top of the cake was soooooo good) the waiter said the chefs made it in house.

This restaurant is great! Their sisig is to die for! Every time I eat here I HAVE to get the sisig. Their other dishes are excellent as well, like the pork belly. The service is really good with a cozy atmosphere.

The food was excellent! The real standouts for me were the Liang side dish (spinach with shrimp in coconut milk - well seasoned with a kick!), chicken adobo, lechón kawali (crispy pork belly) and Kare kare. The garlic rice was also delicious. For dessert, the flan and cassava cake were delicious. We went with Filipino friends who confirmed this place is authentic. Service was very friendly and attentive. The only thing is that if you sit by the window, there is a draft as the windows aren't insulated.

Came here for my 30th birthday dinner with a group of friends, and we had an amazing experience with some mouth-watering Filipino foods, especially the Lecon Kawali. The staff were incredibly friendly day and nice and attentive. We got the dinner set where foods were laid out on banana leaves, and we ate with our hands, and it was such a fun experience. It's definitely one of the best Filipinos foods I've had in New York. This place is a must try if you're in the area!
