They were really nice and let me try the Drip, it was too acidic strong for me so I got an iced americano which was really smooth.
No wait at 11am Saturday morning
Comfortable seats were also available to sit & enjoy my coffee.
Nice music đ” great environment

I stopped into Ground Central with a friend for a tea and a small bite, and unfortunately the experience fell flat. After realizing I never received the treat Iâd ordered, I went up to the counter to check on it. Instead of a simple, âLet me take a look,â the barista responded with, âHow should I know? I didnât help you,â delivered with noticeable attitude.
She then asked her colleagues, handed me a cookie without a word, and gave me that classic blank, slightly annoyed stare that makes you feel like youâve inconvenienced someone just by existing.
The vibe felt unnecessarily curt and unwelcoming - especially when a quick check in the system or a friendly acknowledgment would have resolved everything. Honestly, Iâve had far warmer and more professional service at Starbucks. The customer service needs real attention. A little kindness at the counter goes a long way.

Cold brew, oat milk, pumpkin flavor - great flavor. Not too sweet, little spicy.
Apple danish- hard to find something wrong with sweet dough and fruit.
Atmosphere- nice. Plenty of seating. Loud music if youâre trying to work, but fine if youâre just having a break

Delicious coffee. Loved that they had soy milk as an option. Good place to wait for my show at the Broadway Theatre.

A victim of their own success: this location has above-average coffee, cool decor, and at least *some* wall plugs (though not enough) for laptops. It also has a refiller station for water bottles.
The problem is, all this results in bar-during-happy-hour level crowding (slight hyperbole). Happy to see people here rather than a chain like Starbucks....but not sure why there aren't more coworking cafes in the neighborhood to take care of the obvious demand. Only enough space for about 2/3rds of the people that actually come here.
PS: And yes, the staff is snippy, even by NYC standards. Those reviews are correct. Not sure about all the reviews complaining about price though; seems normal prices for midtown to me.

Friendly and quick service. Plenty of seating. Wonderful place to drink a matcha latte when it's torrenting rain outside.

Coffee too expensive
The coffee and tea here are not good. I have been trying to be a loyal customer to GC for awhile now and I appreciate having a different business in midtown besides Starbucks but Iâve had two interactions and sales that just make this place not good.
1. A couple of months ago I ordered a green tea and when I asked the bar attended what the brew time on the tea was âjust a couple of minutesâ and then I asked if they could look on the bag or box it came from for the specific time and they literally shrugged me off. The tea of course was OVER STEEPED and BURNT even after I asked for guidance on the proper method of their tea.
2. Then yesterday the espresso was BURNT! I ordered a small latte and received a large that was just burnt beans.
The vibe is cute but the product and those making are third tier. I find better bean quality and more attention to steep time from bodegas. It really bothered me that I was shrugged off

Employees are posting flyers that link to some pretty antisemitic websites. (No, not just anti-Israel but actively antisemitic)
E: management removed it and apologized, which was nice. I probably wonât go back, and leaving this review up as an fyi, but I appreciate the gesture.

The barista knew exactly what I needed. They make their coffee very nicely where itâs not too sweet we donât get to taste the coffee and itâs not too bitter where itâs unbearable. Itâs just right where you can taste the coffee beans and enjoy it. Definitely for coffee lovers, not the people that drink Their coffee very very sweet.
