Horrible service.

It must be my fault to get into this cafe at 4:20pm to get an ice latte and made the short hair with glasses staff feel unhappy to his/her job. I can tell from her face and attitude on me.

I do a job in NY every year for about 28 days. I've been coming here every year while on my way to work. 2021-2023 GCCC had an amazing staff. They were friendly, courteous, and had great customer service skills. I looked forward to my coffee every morning while walking to work. This last year (2024) it was unfortunately different. I read they are under new management and they also have new employees. This was a different experience. As others have said, the customer service and friendliness of the staff has gone down hill. I don't really feel welcome and for some reason they all seem to be in a bad mood. Simple asks like "would you mind letting me put sugar in the cup prior to pulling the espresso?" was declined and they made it seem like it was the largest task in the world. A hello or good morning that we were so used to has also vanished. A co worker would also ask for coffee in their own mug and it would never be filled to the full 12 ounces that he paid for. I believe a manager was there most mornings making coffee and she really didn't seem like she was happy to be there either.

Anyways, it's a shame. After a few years of going there I decided to choose another place for my coffee. I MAY try again and see if things have changed for this year so we shall see how it goes then.

Staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Please train them especially girl with curly hair . I asked the girl a simple question and she kept responding passive aggressive. So unnecessary to be this hostile for no reason.

The service here is great! I really appreciated the positive attitude from the brunette lady wearing a crew neck sweatshirt. The store’s music was a little loud and didn’t quite fit the vibe, so I didn’t linger too long.

Wi-Fi stops working randomly and staff don’t know to fix it. Do not go to work for long hours. Really rude staff and coffee tastes burnt. They have a work friendly vibe but then all of a sudden turn off the Wi-Fi and refuse to help.

Good tunes, great location - off to a good start!! The cappuccino makes you realize what a good one tastes like. Got it slightly dry, best in a long time. Creamy, just the right bitterness. Serving up some damn good grounds!! Solid tea selection, all the basics but a good quality offering. Food was serviceable, just quick grab available on the weekends.

I come to NYC for a bout 3 weeks every October/November for work. This place is on the way from my hotel to where I am working. This was our regular coffee spot. Over the past two or three years we got to know the people working there and looked forward to it every morning. This year someone else has taken over the shop and it is not the same at all. Staff is not friendly at all, at least they weren't to us. Just didn't feel very welcome. Even spoke to the woman whom I think is the new manager on my first day back and said I was here for a while and this has been our regular stop and looking forward to another season. She seemed to care less. Then my coffee was just mediocre and not very hot. Gave it 3 days before I decided I a not going back anymore and will find a new place. Really too bad honestly. And yes the music is really loud in there as others had said but I wasn't staying there with my coffee so didn't really care that much.

Please turn down the loud music at 7:00 in the morning! Better yet, turn it off altogether and brighten the lights a little. People sometimes like to read or talk to a friend as they enjoy some of your coffee which is excellent - as are your cherry vanilla scones.

Amazing, chill and hip vibes. Expert and efficient staff.
Great afternoon stop when traveling through town and meeting with friends.
Cafe Mochas are always creamy, rich, not too sweet and on point!
