We went for lunch before the theater on a Saturday. The food was excellent and unusual. The staff was very accommodating to a special diet request. We will definitely return.

Always a fun experience coming to this place. Very lively atmosphere always to be had. Thanks to the live music. Mario the owner is always there and is a welcome face to see every time I walk in. Long live Cuban music!

Had a wonderful experience at Guantanamera in NYC! The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the live Cuban music added such great energy to the evening. The owner was incredibly gracious and welcoming, which made the night even more special. Authentic flavors, great atmosphere—highly recommend!

A fun place for authentic and delicious Cuban food. Decor recalls what it must have been like in Old Havana. Service could not have been better. Our server was friendly, accommodating, and attentive, but did not interrupt our dining and conversation. Appetizers, varied and delicious. Croquetas outstanding. Loved the Arroz con Pollo. Portions are generous, making it an excellent value.

Horrible service and wait staff. Waiter was exremely rude when we sat to order and we decided to leave after a mix up at the table related to an appetizer. We cannot speak to the food but can tell you that our experience was not good.

Great food large servings. My mom and I shared the arroz con Pollo and it was plenty! Mojitos were good too. Service was good and fast. We had an hour before meeting a friend for a Broadway show and we were out in 50 min.

Fantastic dinner! The food was flavorful and plentiful. The staff was friendly and efficient. It felt like you were with family. The masitas were sooooo tender and flavorful!

Food was delicious but the price of the steak could include a little salad or some sort of vegetable.

Waiter doesn't know menu, disappeared on us a couple of times. Food is not authentic Cuban, if you have ever had a meal in Miami, you'll be hugely disappointed. But at least it was somewhat loud, only part that Cuban about this Cuban restaurant. Walked in and there was one flag hanging above the bar, not Cuba, or a mistaken P. Rico flag, but Argentina! WTF!

Expensive. $31 for Ropa Vieja. Designed to maximize expense. $16 for 2 empanadas. Receipt encouraged us to tip on post tax amount.

A small but welcoming space! Great atmosphere, lively energy, delicious food, and great service!

Terrible experience. Crowded and noisy at an unbearable level. When the orchestra plays they use powerful amplifiers and the noise becomes dangerous. Food very poor and service inconsistent. You have to ask a waiter four times to have a bottle or water. If you are a cuban expat probably you'll love the atmosphere. If you aren't stay at home.

Guantanamera !!! Cosa aggiungere ? Come ogni volta serata fantastica, nelle sere con musica dal vivo il locale è sempre un piacere...ottimo anche il cibo ed i cocktails...ma l'atmosfera, la musica e l'allegria sono la ciliegina sulla torta...consigliatissimo.

They are knowledgeable about food allergies and have a spreadsheet of there menu with common allergies listed. The food was very good, I had the seafood paella and totally enjoyed it. I paired it with a Spicey margarita which was very good and not too Spicey so was enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant.
