Live music - very loud and very good band. Mojitos awesome, fried calamari not greasy. We all enjoyed our entrees immensely.
We were three couples for a pre concert dinner. Most of the food was very good except for the seafood casserole which had tasteless liquid the same as the seafood that was in it. We also shared a bottle of californian merlot wine that for $56 could have had better bouquet. The service was very attentive and good. the was latin music that was moderately loud and at times we could not hear our firends conversation. I came out of this initial visit with overall mixed feelings.
Second time at the restaurant. Service was great but portions are small compared to the price you pay.
Delicious Cuban sandwiches for lunch along with great service, followed by a sweet Cubanito coffee.
What a find! Guantanamera was a fun night with our friends. The food was excellent, I had Arroz con Pollo and my husband had the oxtail dish (I forgot the name). Our drinks were very good as well - try the Sangria! The staff was fabulous, everyone stopped to say something to us, even the kitchen staff who brought out the food. Once the live band started, one server came over and danced with our friend and she had a blast! Looking to go back next time we're in NYC.
The most authentic Cuban food I've had other than from my grandparents kitchen! Absolutely delicious!
They could not get a single hamburger cooked correctly for my daughter after three attempts. Plain hamburger...that's it. The music was everything except Cuban along with the food menu and a simple appetizer tostones at the end of the meal that tasted more like a Ritz cracker with only salt instead of what it's supposed to be a Cuban staple.
While the service and their stuffed chicken were good my husband and I felt deceived when we received the bill. The restaurant added a tip to our two person meal before the subtotal and had we not looked close at the details and only saw the credit card slip with a space asking us to leave a tip we would have been duped into tipping twice. Look at your bills carefully before paying.
Always have a great experience dining here. Love the flavors of the food and great drinks, happy hour available at the table! Great for pre or post theater!
What a wonderful dining experience. The portions were good and the staff was very attentive. I would definitely come back to eat here again.

I love this place! I went like three years ago and I spent almost an hour looking up restaurants around New York to find it again. Definitely recommend the Churasco con chimmicuri & pina colada!
We loved our dinner at Guantanamera! The service was excellent and the food was great! We enjoyed cocktails at the bar before dinner and the mojitos were very good. We definately recommend this restaurant!
Best Cuban food we've ever had. Will be back for sure. Staff were fun and energetic. Thank you!
Never disappoints! Our yearly tradition when we go to Mew York city is to make a stop the first night at this delicious Cuban restaurant. Lively music with delicious dishes.
We went for lunch before the theater on a Saturday. The food was excellent and unusual. The staff was very accommodating to a special diet request. We will definitely return.
