I was so excited to have a slice of home so close to my hotel, and it didn't disappoint.
The coffee was silky with a beautiful crema. Just the way coffee should be served. It has a bit of an Australian taste to it, so slightly less roasted than Italian blends.
The location is small, but there was sitting and it was comfortable.

My wife and I visited NYC during a blizzard and stopped to warm up with coffee and an almond milk matcha. They are top atmosphere is fun, coffee tasty and high quality, and the matcha was very healthy and could use some added sugar to sweeten it up. The baristas were awesome and provided fun and great service. We really enjoyed our first time to Gumptown.

Just popped in for a cup of coffee. Received some of the most genuine service we had on our whole trip. Barista handled my kiddos getting a treat with grace and we all left smiling. Thank you.
On top of that my coffee was excellent. Support your independent coffee shops!

If you’re after an excellent tasting coffee or espresso this place is the best in midtown. Great roasters.
Stopped at Gumption Coffee with my family and spent about $40. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t very good and the service was even worse. I’d recommend trying other places.
