Didnt ask how we wanted meat cooked so proceeded to cook the T-bone to the point of becoming charcoal. Season pork belly was seemingly only seasoned in black pepper, everything was very bland. Japchae was very good though

Im allergic to peanuts and this place made me feel very comfortable. In fact i contacted them about a month before i went and threw a bunch of questions at them about their kitchen, ingredients, what products they use etc... They answered every single one.

Me and half a dozen friends went their on a Saturday night and had a great time. I tried foods I've never tried before and wasn't disappointed by a single one. I'm kicking myself for not trying some of these things sooner but i have a feeling that GunBae may now have set my expectations too high. Service was very quick and attentive, the atmosphere was fantastic, unique plates and bowls, and very clean.

We didn't do karaoke but the rates aren't bad at all.

Again i cant thank them enough for responding to my emails bugging them about my nut allergy but i felt very comfortable in the end. My friends and i paid about 100 dollars each and I walked away very very full. very worth it and I'm hoping to go here again soon.

Bulgolgi soup. The jalapeño, broccoli, and salad sides were my favorite. We did the combo and none of the meats were bad at all. Also the kimchi pancake was killer.

Worst restaurant on the ship. They cram you in with people you don't know. 8 to a table. The music and general noise is so loud you can barely hear anything. The waiter cooks the meat and passes the plate. If you the last person to get the plate there's barely any food left on it because the rude people before you take all they want with no consideration for people after them. I left in tears.

High end table top Korean bbq spot with private karaoke rooms in the back. The wait staff will cut and cook the steaks for you. Everything shared and a lot of premium items can boost the bill up fast without a plan. Went to the private karaoke rooms after and had a blast, more buckets of beer and passable renditions of pop songs to end the night.

We came in on a slow Sunday afternoon about 3pm. We randomly decided that it was a karaoke kind of day. The place was empty but Eric set up the downstairs bar for us and gave us stellar service throughout our 3 hour rampage through random songs sets. The bar snacks were great- we had some kimchi pancakes, wings and pork dumplings.
The atmosphere is cool and they have private rooms. Eric told us that there is going to be happy hour specials soon for the newly completed karaoke bar downstairs. We can’t wait to try them and also the upstairs Korean barbecue.

The food and atmosphere were great but I can’t emphasize enough how welcome Eric made us feel- even though we were alone downstairs (Sunday at 3pm is not prime karaoke time).

Truly awful experience. Food was mediocre at best. Better quality beef at Chipotle. Had no desire to make any accommodation for gluten free. Service was terrible. We were asked to vacate our table after only being in the restaurant for 45 minutes despite no one actually waiting for a table. We had already paid the bill and had given a very nice tip despite being unhappy with the food. Would strongly advise staying away from this restaurant.

The place itself is nice, its clean and aesthetically pleasing. The service isnt very good, they didnt understand and werent very helpful. The food isnt bad, its more the variety. Its mostly beef which most people wound not find bad but still. The drinks are nice though. They have a nice variety and the lemonades are amazing. Overall I would say its a good place for drinks but not so much food.

What a find in this area of NYC as it’s not necessarily known for Korean food. Excellent value, great service and good quality food overall.
The meat was grilled to perfection and the side dishes hit the spot. Highly recommended and definitely worth the time to make it to this area if you want great Korean BBQ.

The Karaoke system is very dated. Got reservation for 4-6pm, pre-ordered food. Showed up at 4:10pm, the room was still cleaning. Waited for 10-15min, and got kicked off at 6pm. Pre-ordered food but food was served at 5pm. They need to hire more staff. It’s just one bar tender who is super busy downstairs.

The best most clean Korean bbq place ever. I miss living nearby so I could eat this every day. Shout out to all the staff for being so nice 😊

Came here for a 16th b-day and did karaoke as well. It was ok, the room got too hot after 30 min. The food is very expensive for what they offer. They charged me $80 for karaoke instead of $60 and refused to reduce it until I showed them their own website. Also, never got my change back after waiting for 15 min. Left unimpressed.
