"Tapas-style" Korean menu in a location perfect for a pre-theatre dinner! The raw scallop, bossam, and kimchi fried rice were all super flavorful and delicious. The only complaint I had was for the cheese corn riblets - they just quartered the corn cobs for this dish so you still have to bite the corn off the cob section, instead of just cutting the kernels off into riblets like most restaurants do. Makes it messier than necessary. The $16-18 bottles of Kikusui sake on the menu are a definite plus!

Great food. Could use a little more spacing between the courses. Dessert took a little while. But overall a good time.

From the moment I walked in and all the staff welcomed me with a loud firm voice, I knew the service was going to be good. I have never tried korean fusion tapas but every dish was amazing. The executive chef Joon did a phenomenal job in elevating korean cuisine into a casual drinking style setting. Highly recommend anyone to check out this spot.

One of the best dishes I’ve ever had in any dining establishment- they definitely focus on the quality in “quality over quantity”. Diana was a great help in her recommendations for the cocktails and dishes, fell in love with their steak & potatoes and tuna tartare.

"Gurumé is a direct Korean translation to "in the clouds", in hopes to give you a "cloud nine" type of experience." Gurumé - you really DO bring me to cloud 9 while dining in your restaurant. It has been a while since I have felt compelled to write a review, but after my second return to Gurumé, I had to do it. I want to do it. Great things (and people) need to be celebrated, supported and talked about. Also, in case it helps others decide if they should try Gurumé, my answer is you should (run there). The first time I dined there, it was honestly already delicious. I had been looking forward to returning, but almost slightly hesitantly because sometimes, the returns are not as good as the first time. I was happy to be proven so wrong and incredibly, the second time was even more delicious and memorable than the first. The vibe is great, cozy and warm. Beautiful string lights and comfortable seating. Hosts are always warm and welcoming. Our server, Angel, truly is an Angel. Angel was bright, friendly, informative, helpful and attentive. Recommended and introduced fantastic items, informed us with fun facts such as the health benefits of some of the ingredients (whether in the dishes or drinks). No one rushed us out and the pace of the food coming out was great. It is honestly hard for me to rank the dishes, I truly loved all of them and am still thinking about them. Between 2 people, we had the Brussels Sprouts (delicious tangy glaze, cooked perfectly), the Birria Mandu (bursting with rich flavor - this was even better than the first time I had it), the Spicy Chicken & Cheese (chicken was juicy) the Pork & Radish Bossam (the perilla pesto worked with the soft pork belly!), the Berkshire Kimchi Fried Rice (delicious without the egg but once the egg is mixed in, it made the entire dish delightfully creamier) and the Black Sesame Bread Pudding (THIS. SAVE ROOM FOR THIS). I also had the seasonal special of the scallops with grapefruit and they were soft, fresh and sweet). The Bool drink (pomegranate, spicy margarita) was the favorite of the night (besides the pomegranate shots) but the other drinks were refreshing as well. Nothing was overly sweet and the balance of the ingredients were great. The menu is seasonal and I cannot wait to try the new items when they are out. I absolutely know that Chef Joon Hyun Ryu is going to continue to create amazing dishes and finding creative fusions of flavors and ingredients that will make me just want to live at the restaurant. They really got the combination of atmosphere, employees, food and drinks down well. Nothing was lacking. I can't wait for my next return and look forward to becoming a regular there.

We made reservations here for pre-theater dinner based on Yelp reviews and I'm so happy we did! The food was delicious and interesting, and not too heavy so it was perfect for people who are about to sit for 3 hours in a theater, lol. The service was especially attentive; our server explained the dishes and made some very helpful recommendations. We will definitely be back!

Gurumé offers a mix of delights and disappointments. The Spicy Margarita, which I was eager to try, turned out to be undrinkable, causing an unexpected stomachache. However, the Tuna Tartare was a standout, with fresh flavors and delightful presentation. On the other hand, the Kimchi Fried Rice was a letdown, overwhelmed by excessive black pepper, reminiscent of the disappointing Spicy Margarita. The Black Sesame Bread Pudding was a good conclusion to the meal, saving the overall dining experience for me. The service was okay, with the waitress being kind and friendly. However, the food was brought out pretty slowly, which was a bit disappointing. I also found it a little off-putting that although this restaurant may be Korean-owned, none of the waitstaff while I was there was Korean. The ambiance caters to a mostly younger crowd (college students) and is quite loud. Although I enjoyed the music, it made having a conversation pretty difficult. Overall, Gurumé has potential but could use some improvements.

Gurume has a great ambiance, staff, and food selection. Since it's tapas-style, my table was able to try almost everything on the menu and everything was delicious. Some of my favorites were the brussels sprouts, potatoes, and tuna tartar, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The chicken wings had a perfect crunch and flavor, and the steak and potatoes were tender and flavorful as well. I would recommend making a stop if you're in the area!
