Habichuelas con dulce. A national drink of the Dominican Republic, usually made during Easter.Sold for years in this corner by Nena a mainstay in the Dominican Community. Who was really sweet.A constant line of folks come and go. I was lucky and had no wait. As I heard some days, the lines are pretty longThe spot is pretty popular. On the day I went, there was media as well.Made with red beans, cinnamon, nutmeg, coconut milk, evaporated milk, and dunked with milk cookiesThis drink is great. It's almost like hot chocolate but not quiet. It's warm , silky smooth little nutty, creamy and sweet. It'a known as a deseert as well.It does have a holiday drink vibe to it.Habichuelas means beansThe drink is $2. They also sell a corn based dessert. Looked popular. Will get it next time.

So many treats! Bring cashArroz con dulce, chaca/maíz crackiao, habichuelas con dulce (con galleticas de leche), trigo con dulce, and majareteThey run out fast. By 6 pm they only had dulce de habichuelasPrices (for habichuelas):$2 - small coffee cup$3 - small to-go container$8 - large to-go containerHours: Mon - Sun until 8 pm● I visited at 7 pm on Sun, so no line!● Nice, respectful service.● This is a small WoC business run from an ice cream/hotdog cart with the treats in large hot thermal containers.● Authentic Dominican homemade dulces! I found her by word of mouth and drove 1 hour to visit● They serve your dessert(s) in front of you with a laddle, upon ordering. Mine was still hot at 7 pm!Vegetarian options: All treats only have dairy, vegetables, and other staples. No meat/seafood!Dietary restrictions: Different treats include: dairy, gluten, spices, vegetables, a lot of sugar, carbsNot for Diabetics nor dieters

Over 45 mins waiting and pregnant, asked if I could get one please since my back was hurting badly, and they said we don’t care and sent me back to the line. Incredible.

My family and I have been coming here for years to get our habichuelas con dulce. This stand is a mainstay in the Dominican community here in Uptown Manhattan. Whenever I think of 181st, this stand comes to mind. You won't regret having a cup.

Thea best Habichuela condulce! The only thing I don't like is sometimes I notice a beam in my dessert, which I don't like, but then I try to have some compassion and remind myself this lady makes buckets of these. Either way I still give it two Thumbs up! u must go to uptown and try them!!!
