This was a modern looking spot with a sushi bar where diners can sit along with plenty of tables. They served a number of Japanese dishes along with sushi rolls and sashimi too. There were not a ton of specialty rolls to choose from, but just enough. The service was friendly while the food came out in a timely manner. For an appetizer, the salmon and avocado salad ($15.50) was ordered. This came with spring mix and tomatoes along with a spicy ginger dressing. This was not too bad. There could have been more salmon present. The spring mix seemed a little old, but the dressing was great. It brought everything together including the fresh avocado. Regarding the sushi dish, the yellowtail jalapeno ($11.50), spicy scallop roll ($10), arctic char sashimi ($4), and snow crab avocado roll ($15.50) was ordered. The yellowtail jalapeno was tasty. The jalapeno went nicely with the yellowtail. The spicy scallop came with flying fish roe. This was okay. The scallop was a little tough. The arctic char sashimi came with two pieces, and it was not bad. The snow crab avocado roll came with snow crab, avocado, flying fish roe, tempura flake, and sesame mayo. This was the best roll tried of the day. It had a good crispy factor from the flake and the mayo provided a slight kick. Will I go back? Sure.

Very good midtown Sushi restaurant. Have been here many times. Started with some miso soup and seaweed salad. Had the Omakase Sushi Sashimi Combination (not the regular one, the Omakase) and it was super fresh and tasty. Service was attentive. Nice clean spare decor, a bit loud when its fully packed. Will be back for sure.

I go here weekly, and I’ll keep coming back. Best happy hour deals I’ve seen in midtown. They have incredible staff and such good sushi! Try their Sakura cocktail if you’re into a sweet drink.

Underground restaurant. Clean. Good quick service. Best tempura I've had - light crisp. Reasonable prices - $25 for a filling bento. Tea was also good. I like that the teriyaki sauce is more mild - not too sweet. Great location to work and tourist spots. I was able to walk right in.

How long would you be willing to wait for the standard lunch sushi plate? Would 1.5 hours be too much for you? Because that is what I experienced today. For the last 30 minutes we were lied to repeatedly that it was coming soon. No offer of drinks, comped food, appetizer. Nothing. They did drop a plate of edamame on our table at around 1 hour 20 minutes. We left after the 5th lie that the food was coming soon. Don’t care what the excuse is or was. This was inexcusable service. Have never experienced anything like this at any restaurant in my entire life.

Is it the best Japanese food I’ve ever had? Probably not. But….. touristing nearby and wanting lunch, the $21 lunch special bento boxes were a ton of food. I couldn’t finish mine! The sushi in the bento was great and my sis got just sushi that she said was very good. $14 cocktail too that was delish!New York is expensive, this place was great. Recommend!!
