We were looking for a special restaurant to celebrate our return to New York after the pandemic suspended our travels. We hit the jackpot at Belle Harlem. Imagine being served an absolutely incredible multi-course meal and conversing with Chef while he prepared it. This place is a hidden gem in Harlem. I've eaten at so many fine restaurants all over the world, and this tops my list. The fact that it doesn't have a Michelin star should be considered a crime against humanity. One thing I've been forced to do thanks to COVID-19 is grade restaurants on what I call the COVID curve i.e. constantly excuse subpar food. Not Belle Harlem!
