Was in Harlem for an extended visit and had lunch at Harlem Shake. I loved it so much that I took the family here when they came up from Maryland to join me. I grew up in Harlem and I am excited by all the great restaurants that have opened up over the years. Harlem Shake offers up some great diner food with a Harlem twist. The first time I was there I got the Harlem Classic and that was really good. The 2nd time with the family I got the Hot Mess Burger (Pickled pepper and bacon relish) and the girls got the chicken tenders (Fly Child). The Hot Mess was great and the girls loved the tenders and fries. I would rank it as one of the best burgers that I have had. I also got a watermelon cooler which I would also recommend (if you like watermelon). The staff members were really friendly and the experience was great. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I would highly recommend you check it out.

I am beyond disappointed with my recent experience ordering from Harlem Shake. I placed an order online for the office at 3:16 PM, with the expected delivery time listed as 3:45 PM. To my dismay, the food didn't arrive until nearly an hour later, well past the expected time.
At 3:45, I called the store to inquire about the delivery status. A woman answered the phone, and when I asked for an updated ETA, she told me to hold while she "called the driver," only to abruptly hang up on me. After waiting a few minutes, I called back and was greeted by a man who, after hearing about my earlier call, he assured me that he would "look into it."
Finally, the food arrived ice cold, completely unacceptable for a delivery that took so long. To make matters worse, the man on the phone offered a $10 gift card as compensation, which is laughable given that we spent over $50 on the order. A $10 gift card hardly justifies the terrible service, cold food, and poor customer care we experienced.
This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I will not be ordering from Harlem Shake again. The lack of professionalism and poor handling of this situation reflects poorly on the business, and a $10 gift card will not make up for the overall terrible experience.

For $20, I was a little disappointed by the quality of ingredients. The jalapeños were straight from the can and 1/4 of the fries were overdone. I still ate everything, the hot honey combo was this meal’s saving grace. But even if you had dog food, hot honey would make it taste amazing. 3/5 stars.
We had a wonderful time at Harlem Shake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was vintage, all original from it's beginings decades ago! Their "wall of fame" was fun to watch! and most important, the FOOD WAS GREAT. Highly recommend if you are ever in Harlem 😀

What happened to this place? Used to be good. They've changed the recipes and upped the prices. I got a small red velvet shake i used to order years ago. Ot only did it taste disgusting, it was over $8. What a joke
