Harlem shows a great progress of development and beauty!I was overwhelmed by the clean streets and beauty ??
This area was designated a historical landmark district for New York City in 2018. Most of the rowhouses in the district were built at the end of the nineteenth century in a variety of styles. Most of the homes are neo-Grec, but later homes were built in the Queen Anne, Renaissance Revival, and Romanesque Revival styles. The area was home to various prominent African American musicians including Scott Joplin, James Reese Europe, and Eubie Blake.
