Meat is not halal, if you don’t mind the meat not being halal that’s a different story. It should be known the meat is not halal, for any Muslims being misled by the “Haji” name.

I love there chop cheese and really every sanwich but I hate ordering at night because the young guy with curly hair always has the phone on so that no calls go through. It's pretty annoying especially when you see there's no orders at that time. Overall love the business.

Small corner deli. I was excited to try some New York flavored snacks. My daughter ordered the chop cheese sandwich. This restaurant was the first to serve it.

I traveled here to experience the chopped cheese and it wasn't worth the hype. The sandwich was thin, there was barely any meat, it lacked flavor, and the bread was toasted a little too much. Put it like this, it wasn't terrible but it's not worth the travel or a second try

Dont believe the hype! My sandwhich was thin and bread was hard andddd I brought snacks and a vitamin water all of the snacks had a weird taste and was close to the expiration date and my drink had mold in it and I accidentally swallowed it I SHOULD SUE

This spot is the birthplace of the iconic chopped cheese sandwich—and it absolutely lives up to the hype. Sometimes the original can disappoint, but not here. The chopped cheese is incredibly flavorful, cooked to perfection with care and just the right amount of sizzle.

The guy behind the counter was super friendly and took his time to make sure everything was just right. To top it off, we even got to meet the man who invented the sandwich—also a genuinely nice guy. No long wait, great prices, and unbeatable flavor. Highly recommend if you want the real deal.

On google, it says that this deli is open 24/7. I planned to go here early at 5am to try the chopped cheese for the first time, to end my trip, right before leaving nyc as I am travelling. There were lit signs saying 24-7 and ‘open’ inside the building. I tried to enter but the guy inside tells me that it closes at 2:30am?? and opens at 7am??? Why was there even a guy inside doing absolutely nothing? Got my hopes up and wasted my time.
