I’ve been there couple of times. Tea section is very good, the place is cute too but the stuff? I never saw any one of them smiling. They treat you like they are sick of you. I’m not even a costumer who keeps tasting everything and keeps them busy, I go and just order what I want but still, they make me feel very uncomfy and unfortunately I’m done with this place.

I love tea and this was absolutely a wonderful experience. I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of teas but also I was like a kid in a candy store. The packaging was so beautiful and I immediately thought about reusing them as decorative pieces. What I enjoyed most was chatting with the tea sommelier's and trying the delicious samples they had to try. I loved that you can try a tea sample of your choosing for free and then $3 for any other samples. This was a great way to try a tea to be sure you like it before buying. Service was amazing and everyone was so friendly. They also had a sit down area to try tea and get tea to go. I also loved how the had the tea like a library with a ladder to get them, so cute, library of teas. I definitely bought tea to bring back home but will definitely be ordering from them until I can get back to NY to visit again.

The best place to buy loose tea. They have a good selection of tea.

It was my hidden jem for quite place to have matcha latte and eat really good scones. And it already happened to me twice. I came and scones were sold out and it was very busy. How come my hidden jem became so popular

Absolutely love this place. If you want to go on an affordable date, stop in here and share some scones with a pot of tea. We ducked in here on a rainy day and our noses were welcomed with the warming scent of tea. The staff is very helpful and will help you determine which is right for you. Once you know, get a pot and take a seat. Their best tea is by far Paris. They even make an herbal version is you are worried about caffeine. Go stop by for a visit.

Pretty boxed tea or you can choose refills of loose tea in bags. So many choices! My relative from overseas has a favorite loose tea she only gets from this store. You can have a free taste of tea to help choose or sit down and have a full cup.

Such a nice little spot to relax with a nice cup of tea or even just browse all the different teas they have. They give you a free sample of tea at their bar and it's just delightful having a fresh cup of tea and having a nice conversation with the staff there on tea or anything really.

Not only is the staff really rude, I also saw a cockroach running around in there. So not only was their attitude gross, but so was their shop.

Disappointed to learn on my last visit - after years of being a big fan and making pilgrimages to this store - that they no longer weigh out and sell in small bags most of their teas. I like to keep about 8 varieties of loose leaf Harney's teas at home, and I was told I now have to buy a new tin each time or 1 lb bags on-line. What a wasteful policy for unclear reasons that impacts their most loyal customers the most. I'll be buying on-line going forward rather than bothering to visit the store.

If you're a tea lover, you must visit this shop! They have a tasting bar, a tea cafe, large selection of loose and tea sachets in their fabulous tins, plus lots of other tea related gifts. Great place to sit and relax, grab a scone, and chat!

AMAZING TEA SHOP. We, me and my friends, walked in this tea shop, and were dazzled immediately by the floor to ceiling wall of tea. It felt like stepping into another world. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, and walked us through how everything worked. We loved the free tea sample, where you were allowed to choose any tea you wanted to try. The samples were not just shot size, but an actual tea cup sample size which pleasantly surprised us. The bags that came with your purchase (5 cents) are very well designed and sturdy, not to mention very beautiful. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS BEAUTIFUL, it was calm and warm and felt like I was welcome to ask questions about anything to the staff. For example, I casually had a conversation with an employee about their shoes, they were very nice (shoes and the employee ).

Worse company and Customer Service. Received my tea which had a bad taste. So much for 30 day money back guarantee. Sent an email, received confirmation they received it that someone will get back to me in 2 days. Never heard from anyone. I continued sending emails with no response. As of today, 2 months later still no response. Buyer beware

Meh.

Uff this is a difficult store to review. The store has a host and the person was warm, and welcoming.

A lot of tea options, this might be an understatement. Every item is nicely arranged, and the store is large and open.

Now for the negative. As you walk pass the host, you'll find a tea tasting bar. It's chaotic and really annoying. Lots of lookie loos that don't buy anything but are there to take space, be annoying, and pass the time.

Second, the back... not enough seating or tables for someone interested in seating down after buying tea and pastries. The very few seats were taken by annoying people wasting time, minimally buying to stay out of the cold.

Third. The barista? He seemed really annoyed that we dare ask to buy tea. Pppfffh.

The low rating isn’t about the decor—this place is stunning, like a dream. You’ll see from my pictures just how magical it looks. I only wish they were scratch-and-sniff because the aroma of all the teas was incredible. We could have stayed forever.

Unfortunately, the rating reflects how we were treated, and it left us never wanting to return.

We arrived around 6:15 PM and were captivated by everything—the teas, the decor, the beautiful cups and teapots. We wandered to the back and decided to ask for a tea flight, having just seen two women enjoying one and having a great time. The barista informed us that they closed at 6:30 and had already stopped sit-down service. No problem! He was helpful, asking what we were looking for and guiding us to the right section.

Once we found our item, we didn’t want to linger past closing time, so we headed to the register. That’s when things took a turn. The two women we had seen earlier were still sitting, chatting, and enjoying more tea—clearly not being rushed out. Meanwhile, as we approached the register, the previously friendly staff became noticeably different. The person ringing us up didn’t greet us—no “Hi,” no “Did you find everything okay?”—just silence. It felt cold and dismissive, especially compared to how engaged they had been just moments before.

To make it worse, another staff member joined in, chatting casually about the song playing, further emphasizing how uninterested they were in connecting with us. The shift in energy was undeniable. It left such a bad taste that I put down the cups I had been considering buying. The only reason we purchased anything at all was because we genuinely love the tea and didn’t want to wait for shipping.

It’s a shame because this place has so much potential, but that interaction was a no.
