Overall, I thought this place was good, not great. I had a combo fish, and the ropa vieja was delicious, as was the very interesting dry chicken, but the pork was too fatty. My biggest complaint was that everything, including the rice and beans, was cold. I know latin restaurants like music, but it was so loud you you not hear across the table, kind of painful. I would still come here again as it's a good value and a quick pre show dinner.

Very good restaurant! The cuisine is varied, the dishes are copious and very good. The service is warm and relatively fast. Many gluten-free options are available on a separate menu (see photos), which is a real plus.

Havana Central in Times Square was recommended to us by a couple people. Overall, it was decent but nothing stood out from any other Cuban restaurant I’ve been to. The service was mediocre, and the food was average. I enjoyed my empanadas, the Three Cheese was the best. Everything else was a bit dry. Any refills on drinks had to be requested. It is a very noisy establishment, but I also want to call out that it was clean.

This place is authentically Cuban and I say that as someone who has traveled their several times. For starters, this place is huge but keep in mind that it in time square. I would still recommend booking a reservation. As you walk in you are greeted with a loud live band placing salsa. We came because this place is often advertised as a good spot for happy hour but beware that hh is only at the bar and no one makes that clear. We sat in the restaurant on a Thursday at 6pm. There are mad tourist here. However, the place really does look like a bar straight outa cuba. It has high columns, a wooden bar, plants, and a simple menu. The food isnt anything that is extra ordinary but it truly is cuban cuisine. Any restaurant in havana will have rice and beans served with some sort of protein. We got a pitcher of margaritas for $65 which I highly recommend. It served 6 servings. Overall, it wasnt a bad time but if ur looking for hh I recommend somewhere else.

Great place for a ethnic food experience if you have had enough of American fast food in the square. The ambience and service are fantastic.

Friendly stuff. Dinner was okey, i had shredded beef and beans with rice. Not bad but also not the best. Dessert was horrible. I had a tres leche cake. Im not from the US so I was shocked about the sweetness! Unbearable and not tasty at all. The ice tea was also just tap water with black tea. No flavour at all. Had to send it back. If you want to enjoy a peaceful meal this is not your place. They play very loud music.

We sat by the door so it was a bit breezy. The drinks were good. We got mango margarita. The ropa vieja wasn't that great but it has been good before. Could be that they were about to close.I enjoyed the salsa and guacamole and the fish and tostones.

We had a really bad experience in this restaurant. We sat before multiple tables around us including a large party of about 40 people. We put in our order and 45 minutes later everyone else around us were eating yet we still had not received any part of our order. We asked a few times and then they told us it was because we ordered a chicken sandwich and it was going to take an additional 10 minutes. We work in restaurant business and we know making a chicken sandwich DOES NOT take 1 hour. When our food arrive it was COLD, some sides were missing and the chicken sandwich didn't arrive until 5 minutes later. The sandwich was a disaster! It was literally a grilled chicken breast with lettuce, how did that take 1 hour to make is something we cant understand. We talked to the manager who was aggressive and entitled. He discounted the sandwich and offered us a 25% discount on the bill. The discount was a nice gesture but it does nor compensate for the experience not the managers behavior. He could really use some work on how to speak with customers and not immediately become defensive. We will never come back nor do we recommend this restaurant.
