Service was slow and could have improved. All the food was exceptional, including the steak and sides and dessert. A hefty price point, I would have expected better customer service for an upscale steakhouse.

Extremely disappointing dinner experience at Hawksmoor, the service was far from what we expected.

They initially gave us the lunch menu, and when I asked to change it, the waiter argued that the lunch and dinner menus were “similar.” After further questioning, he finally agreed to give us the dinner menu, which had dishes like Nancy’s Wellington that were missing from the lunch menu.

Despite informing them in advance about a dairy allergy, the waiter initially recommended only dairy-containing sides.

Staff never checked if we had run out of water and did not offer any refills, even though the food was very salty.

No acknowledgment of the birthday celebration, despite mentioning it when booking.

After paying, we waited for a long time to have our card collected. Despite our table being right next to the cashier station, no one came to attend to us. We were completely ignored.

We ordered 34 oz Porterhouse, 14 oz Rib-eye, 14 oz Strip, Vermont smoked bacon, and beef fat fries. The steaks were cooked well, but the beef flavor wasn’t strong. The bacon was too salty, and the fries were just okay.

This could have been a perfect birthday dinner, but the poor service ruined the experience. Would not recommend.

Let me start off my saying thank you to all the staff that was there during my experience. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a polite and friendly hostess. I told them I was waiting on a friend and they reserved the seat at the bar for them while I waited. And the bartender Keeley was awesome. Polite , fun , experienced, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was amazing sophisticated and yet incredibly inviting. The food was amazing and IYKYK 👀 and if you don’t “Ask Keeley about the secret after 9pm” lol all and all i recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Keeley we had great time 🙏🏽

The bartender Keeley was AMAZING! Not only did she make the BEST espresso martini, but she was personable, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was also very sophisticated, the food was delicious and the service was top tier. This place is a must try - and if you sit at the bar, ask for Keeley!!

Hawksmoor is an elegant place with a very relaxing vibe. It is one of the most beautiful restaurants we've ever been. The cocktails are amazing. You have to get the Full Fat Old Fashioned. It is sublime. We had the roasted bone marrow and steak tartare for our appetizers. They were very good on their own and it was nice to mix them together too. For our main course, three of us shared the 40 oz bone in ribeye. All of the beef at Hawksmoor is grass fed and it turns out we enjoy grain fed beef a little more. It's just our taste. The beef fat fries and creamed spinach were excellent sides. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal but I'm not sure we'll be rushing back.

Dietary restrictions: We had a gluten free diner and they were very sensitive to our needs.

The appetizers were pretty good but my VERY EXPENSIVE porterhouse was waaaay overcooked. Like hard to swallow because it was so dry. And for $170 that's unacceptable. Even my daughters filet was cooked too much. Very at the cost vs quality

We’ve been to other Hawksmoor restaurants several times and always enjoyed the food – it’s consistently excellent. However, on this visit, we were really disappointed by the service. As soon as we chose not to go for the upsell, the server’s attitude noticeably shifted, which took away from what should have been a relaxed and enjoyable meal. On top of that, the restrooms were dirty, which isn’t what you’d expect from a place of this calibre. Sadly, this experience has made us think twice about returning.

The service here was appalling. Which is a real shame because the food stands up on its own. But i would never go back, and I would never recommend it to anyone based on the experience we had here

I had dinner at Hawksmoor with my partner, and from the moment we walked in, it felt timeless and elegant—but not in a stuffy way. The space is beautifully designed, with just the right mix of luxury and comfort. The staff was kind, thoughtful, and truly seemed to love what they do.

We shared the bone-in prime rib, and it was absolutely perfect—deeply flavorful, juicy, with a smoky crust that made every bite feel like a treat. Their triple-cooked fries were unreal, and the cocktails were some of the best I’ve had in a steakhouse. Hawksmoor knows how to take British charm and make it feel right at home in Manhattan.

I really wanted to love Hawksmoor! It's a classic NYC steakhouse with stunning decor and ambience, but my friends and I weren't blown away.

The drinks and food were great (expensive, but to be expected). Our server seemed like he hated us, though -- no care for recommendations or questions, rarely checked on our table, and didn't even smile once. My friends and I work in the industry so we're always respectful to our servers and tip generously, but this was the first time where as guests we felt like a nuisance and couldn't justify even a 20% tip. I can expect that kind of dismissive, can't be bothered attitude from my local Irish pub but certainly not from Hawksmoor.
