I had dinner here on a very cold, rainy evening and it was lovely and warm and welcoming. The chicken tacos were delicious and the employees were both attentive and very kind.

NY Diner - classic and authentic. Great food and service. If you want to avoid a tourist trap, this is the place. We went for breakfast, my teenage daughters wanted the American pancake experience, and that's what they got. Me .. nice pastrami with eggs and a lot of coffee. Hector's delivered what we wanted from the location, service, food and experience as tourists seeking authenticity.

Kid-friendliness: No problem

Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor directly off the street, not sure how wide the front door is

The ham and cheese sandwich was honestly awful looks like it came out of a freezer. Service cost $20 which they gave us water and drinks came fast ish but not worth 20. In total 6 people cost 120 for terrible food 1 star.

I came here with my friends looking for a meal and the food was bland awful and disgusting. They charged us for water we had no option for and the service was 18 dollars

I went there to have a quick meal, but I think it was just enough for a quick meal. I ordered 2 eggs with bacon/ham and fruit salad. The 2 eggs with bacon and ham wasn't bad, but the bacon was overcooked and dry, shriveled, and rough, making it a bit uncomfortable to eat. The taste was okay.
The bread came out crispy and toasted with grape jam and was delicious.
However, I would recommend not ordering the fruit salad. The fruit salad came out pretty quickly, but the taste of the fruit was weak, so I couldn't hold my fork the whole time, and at the end of the meal, I felt like it was a waste of money and ate it. It was a shame to pay for something to eat as a menu item.
The service wasn't bad, and the atmosphere had a strong local feel.

9/15/24 finally decided to have breakfast here, we've been walking by this place for so long...
Nice spot, casual obviously, nice and friendly staff.
The food was good. I decided to eat healthy and got the oatmeal (made with milk) with bananas. It was really good, i have to say. Usually diner oatmeal is marginal but this place does a decent job and i finished it too! It was a big bowl.
The GF got eggs on rye toast, she said it was ok. We got a side of the turkey sausage - we like the big red kind and that's what they serve :) it was good.
Coffee too -
Good prices for NYC.

Parking: It's really difficult to park around here unless you're showing up at an unpopular time.

My usual NYC haunt. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the price can't be beat.
