I arranged a group dinner for marathon runners and had to change the number of people three times. They were helpful and accommodating for my group. We had 8 people and were promptly seating when we arrived and I was personally greeted by the manager when we arrived. Service was great and the food was outstanding. Great variety on the menu, everyone was able to find something they liked and everyone loved the food. Runners are very particular before a marathon and their menu catered to everyone's needs. Great upper west end location.

Hi-Life is my favorite go-to place on the UWS. Although I usually get the turkey burger, the menu is very diverse, consistently good (even my picky daughter likes it) and affordable. The drinks (esp my vodka martini) are excellent and generous - they give you the extra in a mini carafe. The noise (music & conversation) can be boisterous but that's b/c everyone is having a good time. I've often gone alone, had some of the best conversations w/ guests on either side of me, and left feeling so much better for it all.

Please don't come here all the time and crowd me out just because I left a great review. The food is reliably delicious. Whatever they are doing in the kitchen, its working and appreciated! Servers seem to be from a place where they care about you. Not the most NY way to do things for food service staff in a local neighborhood place. Greatly appreciated! So many great places to eat and have a drink on the UWS but Hi Life is consistent and reliable.

Easily the BEST (and most reasonably priced!!) 🥩 and 🍸 on the UWS!! I love in the neighborhood and I've been to EVERY restaurant on the block. This one is THE best. Service and staff are incredible, great energy and vibes inside. Food is delicious, drinks are overflowing and the people that work there are IRL genuine & kind. to. you. Such a great local spot... I'm so glad a bar/restaurant like this is just a stone's throw from my apartment. The food is straightforward and always tastes fresh (especially the green salad). Just plain good eats in a fun old school bar ambience.

The Steak Au Poivre was absolutely delicious. It was cooked perfectly, the mashed potato and cream spinach sides were the perfect combination. Highly recommend.
