I had the spicy garlic ramen.
It was good but I felt there is room for improvement. The broth could be creamier/volume and the straight noodles seemed like packaged noodles. They should use the same noodles from downstairsTottos.

Here’s an enhanced version:
The tan tan ramen was absolutely delicious, with a rich, creamy broth that had the perfect balance of flavor and spice. The edamame and kimchi were fresh and tasty, making for great sides to complement the meal. The prices were very reasonable, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere—especially since it wasn’t crowded on a Tuesday night. Highly recommend for a cozy, flavorful ramen experience!

Cozy ramen spot that kind of transforms you to Japan with the decor. Solid ramen!

Our go to ramen place in Manhattan. Have tried so many ramen places throughout the city over the past 10 years and Hide-Chan is always our go to. The spicy garlic ramen and the tan tan ramen are particularly good as are the various appetizers. Everything is good.

I had spicy garlic ramen and it tastes decent. Would visit here again.
Me and my friend did not plan to go here but im so glad we did. We were just walking around and went inside. The staff was super polite. the place was clean. The food was good and well priced and their happy hour last until 6pm. We ordered gyoza, karage, ramen, beef skewers, takoyaki and beer. Everything was good.

My bff and I used to come here about 10 years ago when they were opened late weekend nights. Some of my favorite nyc memories were Hide Chan after a Saturday night out. Also, the ramen was always soooo good, rich and comforting, like your Japanese grandma made it for you. (I’m VERY snobby about ramen). Can’t wait to visit next time I’m in town!
First visited in September 2022 and loved the place! I was visiting the city again, and decided to have my last meal here again. Delicious just as I remembered.Sadly I didn’t see the Japanese masks that used to hang on the walls by the booths. They added a nice charm to the place.
