Himalayan Curry House is best south Asian food uptown. Great takeout deal on the delivery apps too

The lunch special with butter chicken is absolutely worth your time! It’s got that fabulous curry taste but it is deliciously sweet and succulent. The perfect portioning too…and the buttery naan!! 6 slices perfectly soft AND crunchy. Mmm.

The food here does not taste good. Each dish was missing crucial flavor and was overcooked.

Delivery review - I got the fried gobi app and that was really good, spicy and flavorful. For mains, I got the paneer roll and that was okay. I thought it would be spicier but the taste wasn't too bad.

First time here today. I thought it was very good and I've been going to the Himalayan Nepali restaurants in Queens for years. The naan was freshly made. I only dipped my toe in the water at this place but I'm going back soon. I wish I had gone here sooner!

A very homelike place of cost-effective and filling bites of Nepali and Indian cuisine. Highly recommend the vegetable samosas as an appetizer. I'm also a fan of how they do their lunch special--it comes with a curry and two small sides for $12-14. The staff are friendly and efficient. I like both this location and their midtown east location!

Wow, I just ate the best Himalayan lamb curry in my life. The lamb was perfectly cooked. Nice big pieces of lamb no bones very little fat. The curry that it was cooked and was absolutely amazing. I ate it so fast, I couldn't even get a picture. highly recommend.

Off of Broadway but an absolutely great foodie place for lunch. We tried their lunch special and was tasty and authentic Asian/India food. Dining I'm seating is limited, but if you can a place to sit, do it!

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, chose rice pudding for desert and ordered a side order of Naan. I am not happy to say the least. I was excited to treat myself to some nice , spicy Indian food and boy oh boy was in for a surprise. Before I begin, I'll begin with the two good things I can say about this dish. 1. The chicken was tender. 2. Atleast it came warm. Rice pudding was ok. 7/10. Not as creamy as I'd like . Taste like Chai. Where do I begin. The sauce in the Chicken Tikka Masala should definitely be creamier, and it was absolutely WAY TOO SWEET. Like, inedibly sweet. After I finish my review I'm going to scour my kitchen for spices to try to fix this atrocity of Indian food. The chicken had no taste itself, and there is literally zero spice to the entire dish. It tastes like sweet tomato soup. YUCK! Never ordering from here again.

Decent place on the UWS for Nepali/Indian/Himalayan food. Service is super fast & the guys are kind. After living in the Himalayas for a decade, the food is close to authentic, but not exact. Seating is limited & the place is small, but has its charm. Prices aren’t bad & overall pretty

We tried one paneer curry and two chicken curry dishes. All three dishes were so sweet. They put sugar in every single dish. The food was nowhere authentic due to sugar. Their bread is really good. Their mango Lucy is good too but unfortunately the curries are full of sugar. I understand that Indian food is spicy for Americans but I also think they should warn the customer about the sweetness or make the food according to the customers taste.

I love eating at this place. The soft, buttery naan went well with the strong tastes of the chicken curry. The chicken kathi roll was delicious, and I really liked the chicken chowmein, which was a mix of indo-chinese flavors and the mango lassi with its creamy sweetness, refreshed the palate which was definitely worth tasting.
