I got the chicken momo with gravy to go. The dumplings were delicious and packed with meat. The stuffing was dense and flavorful. I could taste the hint of ginger. The 8 dumplings were smothered in the gravy sauce. The sauce was a bit spicy and sour. It was delicious and perfect for a cold day. Overall, it was a good meal and I’d like to come back again and try different dishes. By the way, the server was very helpful and friendly.

Went in for lunch, left in a near food coma. For a little over $14, I received 3 different dishes, rice, dessert, and 4 slices of naan. I honestly couldn’t finish it all and left very satisfied. I’d highly recommend visiting this place the next time you have a chance as their lunch special runs until 4pm! Great vegetarian option as well!

Very rude servers, should know how to behave with customers and eating right beside the customers is a bad idea.

Great food at a good price. We eat here every time we stay in this part of Manhattan.

Excellent place to eat spicy food (you can always get it mild or not spicy), flavorful and delightful. A must try while in NYC.

Made a call for take out. Order was taken very quickly and precisely. Ordered a basic butter chicken and a jhol momo, it was an absolutely amazing and delightful meal! This place has become my go to for a quick Indian meal in manhattan.

Do not recommend - I had an extreme hassle with them for a crappy meal.

I just flew into NY. I deliberately looked for a restaurant that would deliver to my location, and Himalayan seemed like a great option… wrong. Their OWN WEBSITE says they deliver within 2 miles, but that isn’t true. They won’t deliver out of Manhattan no matter what, which is not at all stated when you’re ordering online, and the site allows the order to go through.

I ordered butter chicken (which comes with rice, and a dessert that you are unable to select or see what you get) and sodas. I called immediately after placing the order to ask if I could select the dessert, and I chose gulab jamun. They looked me up, saw my order, and told me yes.

Almost ten minutes later, they call me back to only then inform me that they don’t deliver to where I am (LIC) and ask if I can come pick up the order. I did not anticipate this, I was about to hop in the shower finally before my food was set to arrive. After some back and forth and letting them know my situation, I confirmed that I could pick it up, but needed to be refunded the money for delivery and tip for the driver that I paid upfront. The woman on the phone seemed confused as to what to do, and told me that I needed to do all the on the “app”. I told her I didn’t use any app, just their direct website, and there was no option anywhere to do anything at all other than order and see the home page. Even the emailed receipt contained no instructions of any kind. She told me there was nothing she could do on her end and that I had to “call” via the “app” - to which I informed her again that I had no access to an app and the only number I had to call… was for the restaurant that I ordered from direct.

I asked for a manager or other superior, and no one was there. I asked if they could be contacted because I needed a refund for delivery if I had to spend 20 minutes picking it up myself. She said she’d call them, and call me back.

Over 20 minutes later, *I* call back and she answers per usual as a hostess would. I said it was me, and asked about the situation. Even though she had supposedly JUST spoken to them, she seemed to gain no insight on the situation at all. I had to repeat that I was picking it up (apparently she understood otherwise somehow?) and needed the refund for services that were paid, but were not going to be rendered. I at this point express concern about my food order; with this whole ordeal taking about 40+ minutes at this point, I said I didn’t want my food to be sitting and waiting throughout all of this while this was getting sorted, and I was ASSURED this would not be the case. We hung up so she could call the manager again.

She calls back to let me know they can refund in cash, and I can come get the food. Great! Finally.
I leave and take the 9 minute train over - why someone could not do this, or drive 10 whole minutes to prevent all of this, I still do not understand. I get my food, check my order - the dessert was incorrect; my first call was ultimately ignored I guess, and I had been given a small sauce container of some indiscernible white liquid (personally just not familiar with what desert that could have been) - they replace it with one ball of the dessert I did order.

I get back after a ten min ride back.
My food is inexplicably lukewarm at BEST. After all that and their own faulty system, they couldn’t even prepare my food fresh as I had confirmed. Even the RICE was cold, you have to try for that to happen. They knew I was in a hotel, I don’t have access to my own microwave and am not in the habit of reheating PLASTIC CONTAINERS. The chicken, the star of the meal, was dry and mealy. No moisture inside to be found. How was my food overcooked AND cold?!

This is the worse experience to have when you’ve done a long travel day and just want a decent meal brought to you so you can shower and not waste an hour and a

I visited this restaurant while staying on NY, the experience was let down. Although the food was good but the service was poor. The portions were also smaller than expected. I won't be returning anytime soon. Hopefully, the restaurant will take feedback seriously and improve their culinary offerings.

The food was good, but I didn’t feel like I was eating at an Indian restaurant because the atmosphere felt very plain and super average. No Indian theme whatsoever, but if you care only about food, then go for it!

My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. I asked for pan fried dumplings but they gave me overly cooked and it was burnt too. I could literally taste the burnt texture in my mouth. I asked one of them if they could replace it but they refused. I overheard the person inside the kitchen was bit loud at the waitress too!
