We love this place- the drinks and vibes are spectacular. The pianist on Friday 6/6 was phenomenal. We have since come back again on Saturday because of how good our first experience was. However, I will happily revise our rating from four stars to five whenever they clean the fish tank. It’s unacceptable that the fish are living in such dirty water :(

It wasn't my intention for my wife and I to go to this cigar bar, but it was great. The atmosphere was upbeat and a little noisy, but perfect for our mood. The drinks were good and the cigar selection was way beyond my limited knowledge. Fun vibe. Didn't order food, so can't rate.

The music is classy all-night long and is the perfect place to luxuriate in late on a Friday and Saturday night. Hudson Bar and Books is certainly not a miss!

Fantastic service! Drinks were tasty and suggestions were thoughtful. Low points for having no bags to keep your coat in to protect from the smoke. My winter coat is oh so ripened now. BYOB(ag) or be prepared for a dry cleaning order!

I have been a customer of Bar and Books in Prague for years and wanted to try their New York restaurant. Certainly not up to the standards of the venues on Czech soil. Little attention to the customer (no ashtray was provided with the cigar nor a glass of water, unless specifically requested. It would also be good practice to fill the customer's glass when it is empty), quality of the cocktails not excellent, limited choice of smoked. Very nice and local atmosphere located in one of the liveliest areas in the evenings in Manhattan.
