Hudson Malone: A New York Joint

Fantastic bar, great atmosphere fantastic bartender. Bourbon, whiskey, and scotch selection is on point. The recommendations from the bartender on the fried artichoke hearts, and the bone in pork chop, also the cocktails he served and the cheesecake! This has made this one of my favorite spots in NYC

This hip and cozy upper Midtown gem feels like Dublin’s Palace Bar married a farm-to-table steakhouse. We had another excellent meal last night, and really can’t think of how it could have been better!

The rudest bartender I’ve ever had. Said the first drink I ordered - a grapefruit cocktail on their menu - sounded disgusting. So I ordered a Tom Collins instead. He brought me a gin and soda. After I tasted it, I asked him what he put in the drink and he said gin and soda. I pointed out that’s not a Tom Collins, it’s a different drink, which I would have ordered had I wanted that. He said he’s not from the 1900s, and I passed him my drink and asked him not to make me another. At that point I didn’t want a drink from someone who’s such a jerk. Not that I felt welcome at that bar, but I’d never go back.

Great bar, food, and service but had no air conditioning so was over 80 degrees inside! Maybe going for the authentic British bar thing but need this in an NYC bar in summer.

A proper gastropub is hard to find these days and Hudson Malone nails it. The menu is fabulous and Dane makes some of the best cocktails in the city. The tuna tartare and crab cake trio always impress . Best place for a bite and drink in the area hands down

One of my favorite bar/restaurants. Better burger than PJ Clarke’s. Better everything - service, atmosphere, drinks, food. To start, exceptional bacon cheese burger. Tuna tartare - ample portion, great flavor. Got a martini, Manhattan, and side car - all beautifully done. Martini had great olives. Dane is an exceptional bartender - attentive, professional, friendly. Highly recommend!
