Il Postino didn’t live up to the hype. The food was underwhelming and way overpriced for what you get. The service was subpar, and the atmosphere felt more focused on being “fancy” than actually delivering a good experience. Overall, not worth the money or the time.

Still, the prices are significantly higher than for equally good Italian cuisine elsewhere, so just be aware of the potential for "sticker shock", minimum $100 per person for 3, a glass of wine each, two shared pastas, shared salad, and one shared meat dish, plus tip, of course.

We had an outstanding dinner at Il Postino last night. We ordered the “Pappardelle allo Scoglio”, comes with Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Calamari and Scallops followed by the Fish of the Day in salt crust. All very fresh and delicious! Highly recommended. Great atmosphere, delicious food and an amazing service.
