I like the place overall considering the full value proposition, service and atmosphere however although the food was consistently good, it wasn't 5 star.

I had the salmon ($37), it was served medium rare as I requested, it was delicious. From my vast experience, it has been very hard for chefs to cook salmon medium rare, let alone serve it hot at the table as they did at Il Punto.

I recently had a delightful breakfast at IL Punto and overall, it was a great experience!
Food: The menu offered a fantastic selection, and I was really impressed with the quality of the dishes. My avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and the pastries were a real treat. Everything tasted homemade and authentic.
Service: The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we felt taken care of throughout our meal. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, filled with a nice blend of rustic and modern decor. It felt like a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal, although it could get a bit noisy during peak hours.
Overall, IL Punto is a lovely place for breakfast, and I can’t wait to go back!

Appetizers delicious, especially the pulpo
The chef was excited to prepare the branzino the proper way, with skin crisp on top for enjoying in entirety.

We were here for our 20th anniversary and Antonio made it extra special. The service was great and the atmosphere cozy. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in NYC but Antonio makes this place a true gem! Thank you!!

Been awhile since our last visit, so we were not disappointed in this visit. The service was a little slow, but food and dessert was great. Choclate cake and vanilla gelato was super. Worth a visit if never been there.
Delicious, well-executed Italian cuisine with clean, authentic flavors. Everything on the menu looked incredible and genuinely tempting. You can tell care goes into the food, and it shows from the first bite. Definitely a place that makes you want to come back and try more dishes.

What a neighborhood gem! We stopped in after a trade show and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel like family. We started by sharing the poached pear salad, and I’m still thinking about it. For entrees, we ordered the mushroom risotto and the salmon, both were excellent. I only wish I were in town a few more days to try more of the menu. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the city!

We used to frequent Il Punto years ago and decided to return for a pre show dinner as part of our long overdue city visit. It did not disappoint, although we missed their tomato soup, which was a favorite. Located a bit farther than restaurant row, we find Il Punto a bit quieter and the service more attentive and friendly. The food is still fresh and delicious!
12/19/25 we had our Christmas Luncheon here today everyone was what we hoped for…excellent from the Manger, Staff, Food, Service ambience. We had a great time and were very content. Thank you Antonino👌

Il Punto was a wonderful experience. The ambiance was comfortable and enjoyable. The service was very good. We asked questions of the waiter which were answered with great detail. In addition, they made a recommendation for an appetizer which was very good. Started with their Gelato Salad appetizer which I never would have selected on my own but it was very tasty. For entrees we had the risotto with mushrooms and the squid ink tagliatelle. Both were fantastic. Th evening was so enjoyable that we ordered the cannoli with a limoncello apéritif. All in all it was a wonderful evening.
Because it's small, it can be loud, but it never loses its quaintness. I love Il Punto's menu! There are so many gluten free options, it's hard to choose just one. Service is top notch.
