Made a reservation a week in advance and when we got there waited 30 minutes , didn’t even end up getting a table after calling the day before to ensure the reservation

Simply the best. Benny gets it and so does everyone else who works there. Highly recommend
First time here and will be back ! Food and service excellent. We weren't rushed and they accommodated one person in my party that needed gluten free pasta. Starters of peppers, bread, and bruschetta all free. All the staff wonderful and friendly. Only issue is that is is extremely noisy and we had difficulty hearing each other. Will be back !
This was our first time dining here, and we were pleasantly surprised by the food, service, and atmosphere. The meal started with complimentary bread, sauces, and bruschetta, which was a nice touch. We ordered two cocktails and two entrées—the mushroom risotto and the chicken parmigiana—both flavorful and well prepared. We ended the meal with delicious pistachios cheesecake. Overall, it was a great experience. You’re paying a premium, but the vibrant ambiance, attentive service, and delicious dishes make it worthwhile.

A very good intimate restaurant, the best Italian food I have ever the tiramisu dessert a most try if you like coffee and no so sweet dessert.
I hardly ever write reviews but this place deserves it! As soon as we sat down we were served bruschetta, bread, and roasted peppers. The took our drink orders and our drinks arrived within a minute. I was blown away by the prompt and friendly service. Ray took great care of us! The food was fantastic and I thought the value was totally fair and reasonable. Awesome, small, NYC Italian restaurant.
Lived across the street since they opened and finally stopped in on a Friday night, no reservation, but arrived just in time to grab bar seats. The place was buzzing. For the location, it’s surprisingly a hidden gem with a great vibe and genuinely good food.
Food:
• Tableside Caesar for two – absolute perfection, fresh and beautifully balanced.
• Cacio e pepe – classic, rich, and well-executed.
• Larry’s pasta – deeply flavorful and comforting, with a generous portion (leftovers-worthy).

One of the best dining experiences we've had in NY. This was the third time we've eaetn at Il Tinello East. Benny, the proprietor, is a born host. He takes such clear pride in the restaurant and hires and trains the staff to do the same. When we were here 9 months ago, we had an issue with something our server neglected to do, and I initially wrote a middling review as a result. Benny responded immediately and sincerely, and said he would make it right next time we came. He made me feel so good about him and the restaurant that I changed my review to outstanding, to reflect the rest of our experience there. I was amazed this time that when he greeted us he remembered me AND the specific issue we had, and indeed made iit right!
The food is fantastic. There were three of us - appetizers were the burrata and pineapple special, the breaded calamari and the eggplant parmigiana, all WONDERFUL!. The burrata was among the creamiest and most delicious we've ever had. Mains were the the chicken martini (egg batter, Parmesan, white wine, lemon sauce), the salmon filet with mixed vegetable caponata, pesto sauce, and the branzino special. All were beautifully prepared and delicious.
The ambiance is warm and intimate. The volume can get a bit loud when the restaurant is full (which is usual!), but it didn't prevent us from having conversation. This is a great place for a romantic evening, business meal or just getting together with family and/or friends.

Wow, have to say I was pleasantly surprised by my entire experience from as soon as I walked in until I left.
Staff were very attentive, accommodating and friendly.
Food was totally on point, serving size, texture and flavors.
Atmosphere was fantastic, staff well presented, courteous, attentive, lighting and layout created a great atmosphere.
Priced very well.
I had the Ravioli with a fantastic Tuscon red wine, Tiramisu, and finished it off with Grappa.
Have to say I was taken back by the overall experience and will definitely be calling by again next time I'm in town.
