food is great; service is a little slow and sometimes that impacts quality of food (arrived cold a couple of times). not a huge fan of the lights / ambiance inside, feels very sterile and wish it could be more warm and inviting. the patio is nice, and food is still really good!

I’ve lived in NYC for a while, and Lungi is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I have brought numerous friends and family here and each time, they are blown away by the unique flavors, great ambiance and the delightful staff. The Kerala beef chukka is my favorite thing on the menu. Also love the Short Rib Cari and dosa.

The food here is absolutely top notch - I’d 100% come back just for that. But what really threw me off was how pushy our server was. I get it, it’s NYC and there’s a 90 min table limit (which, honestly, is already pretty ridiculous), but the moment we sat down - at a table we got 10 minutes late because they were still “getting it ready” - the server started hovering. Every three minutes: “Ready to order?”
