Best fusion Indian I have eaten in NYC. Most restaurants cater to typical fare or specialize in Indian regional cuisine or in street food. Many of them are good. However, they are not as innovative as Indian Accent. Kashmiri morels with the parmesan crisp is superlative, as is the lamb main dish with tiny roomali rotis. Malai makhan was my favorite dessert. Indian Accent is like no other Indian restaurant we have been to, and we have been to a lot of them. This was not just a night out, it was an experience. The dishes were exciting and innovative with a unique mosaic of flavors and textures. The service was top notch; out waitress was informed and helpful, and there was no shortage of friendly and professional staff members coming by to check on how we were doing. We will definitely be back.
