I was not expecting much from an Indian takeout in Inwood but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I had samosas which were fat with stuffing and perfectly crispy without being greasy. The Rogan Josh was also a generous portion for the price and perfectly seasoned. I ordered just before closing time and they had the order ready for pick up in 15 minutes. I will be ordering from there again on a regular basis.I would give 4.5 stars if it was an option. The rice (paid side) was a little underdone and dry, ordering on their website was clunky and I would not recommend the interior for dining as it looks more like a take out with a few tables.
Food is saturated in oil, especially the breads and samosas, and the oil used is very "heavy"; while the main dishes are seasoned ok (very mild, especially the curry, could hardly tell it was curry), they are very "soupy" with more liquid than substance (chicken, beef, etc.) to the dish, I won't order again from here.
Last night I ordered their chicken tikka masala and instantly got a stomachache after eating. Thought I was just full but woke up in the middle of the night vomiting, & with a horrible stomach cramps. Must have gotten an old batch……
Vaccination certificate is not required: anti-vaccines, welcome.Only recommended if you are very, very hungry. It requires a certain imaginative and intellectual effort to understand that what is being eaten is Indian food. But the height of misery and stinginess is that they don't offer you tap water (of course they try to sell you bottled water).
So much for starting the new year with a great meal. The worst thing other than under seasoned Indian food is watery Indian food, and this place checked both off. To detail everything that was unpleasant with the food:1. Watery main entrees2. Rationed meat in entrees. The amount of chicken in both entrees was 30% chicken / 70% watery broth (I wouldn’t call it sauce) and they give you a ton of broth to make it look like you got a decent portion.3. The samosa dough was undercooked on all of the 4 samosas. That’s pretty hard to do in a fryer.4. The garlic on the 2 orders of naan was undercooked. Not sure who likes to eat raw garlic on undercooked naan, but not I.5. Lastly, unseasoned rice. (Just plain white rice) Who doesn’t season their rice? Specially in Indian food. All that to say this place is a hard pass, but I guess you gotta try things as to not judge by other reviews. So foodie beware :(
I enjoyed the chicken vindaloo which they made it to our desired heat tolerance. Saag Paneer was fresh and pleasant as well. Generous portions. Will keep trying dishes as there is lots more to explore.
Watery chicken tikka masala - bizarre. Goat Chana was mostly bone, not enough to be filling. Our last experience was “okay”, this was pretty bad.
Vindaloo isn’t spicy, and seems more like a gravy than Vindaloo…too much flour maybe? Garlic naan was good and the dipping sauces were delicious. Rice was a little too wet for me.
My husband and I just ate lunch there. We had lamb over rice and Salmon with potatoes and sauce. So delicious. The service and the restaurant made you feel like you were visiting India. The prices are very reasonable. We will be returning as well. ❤??
Food is delicious, way better than expected. The review doesn’t match the rating of this restaurant it should be higher and went there couple of times never have a complaint, I always get fresh and delicious food. Everyone should give this place a try.

I live close by. So thought to get indian food tonight and have dinner with family. Horrible food. Ordered through Uber Eat. The wings were missing from the combo. On Shrimp tandoori, the shrimp weren’t cook. You could taste it raw. The chicken tikka was bearly cooked. The whiteness of the chicken you could see and when did a bite, we could smell the rawness of the chicken. BTW, chicken Tikka and Shrimp Tandoori had the exact same spices. I am an Asian. I know it could be little similar. But not the same. The malai Kofta smelled like cooked couple days ago and they just warmed it and made the delivery. It was a stinky smell. We were missing the chicken 65 from the order. The whole diner experience was a disaster. We could not eat. Never ever making another order from them. Please do not waste your time and money. Unless you don’t know how Asian food taste like. They will make anything and you won’t know. Please do not go there!I asked Uber to refund my money!
This place is a joke. Such a waste of money. I wish i had gone somewhere else. So many people had tons of bad experience. People should avoid this place if they want to eat good.
Not recommended. Owner/Manager whoever is a typical Bengali, came directly from Peddy field to USA because of how he treated me last week. Find a better place to have tastier food.
Possibly the worst vegetable korma I’ve ever had in my life. No flavor whatsoever and soggy rice. The color was pale yellow I should have known. Totally wasted my money. I was excited about the new edition to the hood, that no longer stands. What a disappointment.
Chicken tikka masala was too sweet and didn’t have any spice or heat. The garlic naan was great! I’ll probably try it again, but I’ll order something else. I missed that Spicy kick.
