The food was very good but the service was very slow. Party of six and we got our food separately with big intervals. Someone came multiple times to talk to us and try to fix the problem . She did a great job but the kitchen was backed up. The table next to us seemed to have the same problem. For the money I spent it was not worth it. I will not return

The food still great, the service okay. But the caipirinha is terrible. Last 2 times was bad still bad. Very disappointing.

This Brazilian spot is perfect for both lunch and dinner! We love the Boteco dish, and the nightlife after 9 PM on weekends is amazing. They also offer a fantastic Sunday brunch. Our family has been coming here ever since they opened in Norwalk, CT, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Boteco Ipanema offers more than just a meal; it’s a journey into the heart of Brazilian hospitality. From the moment I stepped in, the staff’s friendly smiles and warm energy made me feel like I’d stumbled upon a hidden gem. I started with sangria, each sip a refreshing burst of fruity bliss, the perfect prelude to what came next. The grilled salmon? Simply exquisite—flaky, tender, and bursting with rich, smoky flavor. It was a dish that turned a great evening into an unforgettable one. Paired with the lively ambiance, I found myself already planning my next visit before the night was even over. If you’re looking for a vibrant, flavorful escape, Boteco Ipanema delivers in every way.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boteco Ipanema, and let me tell you, it was a culinary journey that left my taste buds dancing! The menu is a vibrant celebration of flavors, showcasing a delightful blend of traditional Brazilian cuisine with a modern twist.

We started our meal with the **Appetizer Sampler**, featuring **Dadinho de Tapioca** and **Crab Rangoon**. The tapioca was perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining soft and chewy inside, and the Crab Rangoon was packed with rich, creamy filling – a perfect beginning to our feast.

Next up was the **Idli Soup**, which was a comforting bowl of warmth and spices. It was a unique take on traditional Indian flavors, and I loved how it set the tone for the rest of the meal.

For the main course, we couldn't resist trying the **Bitoque Paelha**, which was a stunning combination of flavors that beautifully represented Brazilian cuisine. The **Churrasco Misto** was a meat lover's dream, featuring a variety of perfectly grilled meats that were tender and juicy. The **Picanha Steak** was especially noteworthy; it was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, offering an explosion of flavor with every bite.

The **Mashed Potatoes** were rich and creamy, providing a delightful contrast to the bold flavors of the meats. The **Caldo Verde** was another highlight; its comforting, hearty nature made it the perfect accompaniment to our meal.

To finish off, we indulged in the **Brigadeiros**, which were the sweetest ending to our dining experience. These chocolate truffles melted in our mouths, leaving us craving more.

And let’s not forget the drinks! The **Pitu Caipirinha** was refreshingly tangy and balanced, perfectly complementing our meal.

Overall, Boteco Ipanema is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore authentic Brazilian flavors in a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. I can’t wait to return and try more delicious dishes!

Good food, service and pleasant atmosphere. I didn't understand the rule applicable when paying the bill. We were forced to pay an additional 20% service fee. My family and I have been to many restaurants here in the USA and this is the first time we have seen this situation!

Norwalk has a growing Latin restaurant community & Boteco Ipanema, representing the Portuguese influence in Brazil, does a great job of turning out beautifully prepared plates of food in generous portions. Shrimp & rice dishes were simple but immensely flavorful with the prefect cook on the shrimp & chicken breast with delicious lemon sauce was tender. Fried Chicken breast filets were also a big hit. Our service from Omar was friendly & helpful. As our group dined during the lunch hour, & we shared the restaurant's space with just a few other couples, I can't comment on how noisy/busy this place may get on date night/weekends. Omar informed us that Fridays & Saturdays could be busy with patrons enjoying modern Latin music & that Sunday's were more laid back with music to commemorate that laid back atmosphere. Translation: the place hops with youthful ‘let's party ! ‘ exuberance on weekends, with Sundays being more relaxed. This place is on a busy street with limited parking but there is a fee parking lot behind the building. Boteca does have both a front & back entrance, so that's convenient if you park in the lot.

The best Brazilian food in the USA! I don’t know how they do that but everything is great there! The best food, the employees are always so kind and happy! Omg if you don’t know Boteco Ipanema, you don’t know what is a good Brazilian food.

I love this restaurant go very often but the last 2 times there I was very disappointed for the quality of there caipirinha. Last time was the worst drink ever.

I ordered a medium rare onion steak, it was extremely rare and unsalted, for the price they ask for the dishes they should have known how to serve at least one steak, we ordered a drink, it took about 20 minutes to arrive and it was still bad, the bar was empty , I complained about my dish but nothing was done, I asked for a creme brulle and they served me a horrible pudding that was anything but creme brulle, in short, terrible service, I won't be back and I won't recommend it to anyone.
