This is a top flight restaurant. It has one significant flaw: the wine and sake list is crazy expensive. Not sure why, but these prices make it unimaginable to order a bottle of wine! Bad strategy for an otherwise delicious meal.

While the food was impeccable, the service was not great. My friends and I didn't receive the welcoming spiel, we were sat in the corner with other people who happened to also be of color, and we had to ask for our drinks three times because our server forgot. The person who came to take down our drink order was one of the guys pouring water, so that's the only reason why I'm giving the service 2/5 stars.I came here before on business, and was doted on impeccably when I was with my white colleagues. It was frustrating to see how this attention to detail was not extended to my peers in a more casual gathering. Will not return with my business colleagues for this reason.

The food was great, but the service left us with no desire to return. This was not my first time there. I have visited this restaurant often, but this time my friend and I could not leave 20 percent of tips and we were mistreated by the guy who attended us. There is no need to mistreat a customer for that. Tips are not supposed to be the main part of your salary and no all the time people can give as much tip as expected. Tips, besides, are supposed to be an option. And the service this time was bad. The guy who attended us was nice but he forgot to bring our appetizer. And we were ok with that, because my friend and I have both worked in restaurants and bars and understand that that happens, but if the employees are not happy with their incomes or salary, they should complain to the owner, instead of mistreat a customer. Customers are not responsible for their salary. I work also as a waiter part time for 15 and hour and I receive people who cannot leave 25 cents and people who put just a few coins in our cash jar and I would never be rude with someone for that reason.

Dined in at their Astor location around 1:30pm. Staff didn't seem to be on top of our order. Delivered my green tea to the wrong table and forgot an order completely. Luckily they didn't charge us for it. Waiter apologize which we appreciated but my wife didn't have anything to eat at all.

The food is very average, and $3 for an egg, I don’t think so. Honestly I’d avoid this place

Best ramen Iv had. The vegetarian options are so good, I always get the spicy variant that comes with chilli paste. Fav spot in NYC.

I loved the decor, very Japanese themed.I tried a few of the ramen and ichiraku was my favorite. It has very flavorful broth.

The only ramen I'll eat. It took awhile for my wife to get me on the ramen train since it never really fills me up and always seem to be left unsatisfied... Buddy of mine introduced me to Ippudo in NYC and I haven't never been disappointed. The place is a vibe and very convenient drive in for me from NJ. Much prefer to travel for food rather than compromise quality. I usually get the Karaka spicy, extra noodle and add a boiled egg. Oh and their lychee martini, UGH. Could live off of them!

The staff were beyond welcoming and the atmosphere was calm and not too claustrophobic but the food was just ok, I think if you want more flavor you can try some other places out that also have more options than this place.

When we walked in, the restaurant reminded me of a club - dark, disorienting with music playing. The food was awesome. We both had the Karaka Spicy ramen and added an egg. Their beer options were way too expensive, so we opted not to order drinks. The service is very quick, almost too fast. I felt hurried so it wasn't the most relaxing meal but the food is very good.
