It's a pity because the service and food was excellent. But it was freezing inside. We had to change tables further away from the main door as did multiple tables. People were wearing their jackets. That's not what you expect from a fine restaurant like this. Turn on the heat! No idea why they let it get so cold. That said the service and food were excellent. The winning formula would be turning on the heat. This isn't old man complaining, it was genuinely cold inside.

The service was great! The poor rating is due to the undercooked chicken. My mother ordered the chicken and when she cut into the breast, it was still pink. This is a huge oversight and could have made my mother sick. They tried to make it up by giving us free donuts, but I wouldn't take the risk again at Iris.

I had a wonderful dinner at Iris Mediterranean. The grilled seafood stood out right away — fresh, tender, and seasoned just enough to bring out the natural flavor without overpowering it. Each component tasted clean and thoughtfully prepared. The lamb kebab was another highlight. It was juicy, well-spiced, and cooked to the perfect level of tenderness. The char added great depth without drying it out, and the accompaniments tied the dish together nicely. Service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere felt comfortable yet refined. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food and overall experience made it worthwhile. I would happily return.

Great space. Food was very good and service was excellent. Wait as a couple on vacation and we loved it.

Really great food and very friendly service. If you're looking for a nice place in midtown at a mid to high price point I'd highly recommend this place.

The drinks, food, and service were excellent! We started with the Pikilia and all the dips were delicious!

My server was lovely and the meal was well-paced. The food, however, was just not good. I ordered from the theater menu, which was already quite limited; I do not mean to sound like a comedy skit, but the food was poor quality and there was not much of it. The branzino was particularly limp and disappointing, and the lamb flatbread seemed like something I would make in my toaster oven.

We really enjoyed the dinner. The service, the wine selection and veg options were very good.

Delicious food--smoked eggplant, octopus, branzino, spicy swordfish all superb, and a fantastic baklava for dessert. Excellent, thoughtful service as well. Also 1st rate cocktails...

Small portions, average food, slow service and trying to constantly get you to buy drinks to pad the bill sums this place up! We were running late and called and the Hostess said there's a 15 minute grace. But after that we'll probably have to give your table up as we have a packed house and many reservations. We made it just at the cut off and she surprisingly told us your table will be ready in 5 minutes if you'd like to go grab a drink at the bar we could come get you. I looked over her shoulder and saw four fully set, empty tables. When I asked her what about those tables she seemed flustered and didn't have an answer. She then said Those tables are set for more than two people, as you can see there is one set for 3 people. I then look to my left and noticed three women waiting for their table even though there was one fully set waiting for them. Service was very slow, when we sat down they had three drink menus on the table but no food menus and it took 10 minutes for someone to bring us menus. We started with the octopus appetizer... it was tasty but the sauce was too sour. They also charge you $32 for one piece of octopus. So with tax and tip $40 for literally one piece! for dinner we both ordered the seafood mix with tuna, scallops and fish. My girlfriend can eat onions, scallions or chives and they brought it out with chives on it. Then they brought it out and it was undercooked as she wanted it well done and they finally got it right on the third time The portions were extremely tiny and even after appetizer 2 entrees and two desserts plus drinks we were still hungry! they don't even put bread on the table! couldn't believe they didn't take my girlfriend's meal off the tab either after they screwed it up three times! many nice restaurants in New York... this is not one of them

IRIS is a gem for a pre-theatre dinner or an ambient dinner with a special date. The pre-theatre menu is a must as it offers an appetizer, an entree, and dessert. The octopus was delicious and the lemon sauce with it was something to brag about. Now on to the Pastitsio. What a revelation! The presentation and the flamed brandy drizzled over was beautiful. The delicious meat and cheese were succulent. The Branzino is a close second. The Baba for desert is a delicious send off and not too sweet. The staff is warm and welcoming. It opens at 4 on Saturdays and the dining room gets full around 5:30. We went at 4. Sometimes lots of people make the food taste a little better so go at 5 and after. Overall, IRIS passes the eye AND taste test with flying colors!

Fantastic approach to very fresh Greek cuisine. Perfect for a appreciator dinner that isn't too heavy

Delicious and fresh food! Great service and attention to detail. The hostess was super kind, which is rare these days. She even remembered the notes in my reservation and gave us a booth and wished me a Happy Birthday!

The location is prime for a night out at the theatre district. The food is remarkable and the service is top notch. The pricing is fair for a restaurant in Manhattan of this caliber so this is overall a good experience.

Alexander

The food was delicious and service was attenative. Will come again. Also note that they are part of Chase Sapphire tables.
