Burger was overcooked. Fries were barely cooked. Service was attentive and pleasant. Martini was excellent.
Great food, well prepared, well served. Like a lot of NYC restaurants, the noise level is so high that conversation is difficult. I wish there was an easy solution.
We had a great lunch. Great service, delicious food and wonderful outdoor dining ambiance.
Excellent service, reasonable prices and an extensive menu make this restaurant worth a return visit. We loved the popover rolls served complementary with every meal.
Great dinner- Fantastic pasta. My friends had the Pompano, which they said was the best fish they had ever had anywhere! The bread is always fantastic too!
First course was watermelon salad with arugula, which was pretty good. My partner and I both ordered the bass special with miso glaze and it was just meh. The sauce was overwhelming , unremarkable and truly did not add value to the bass-in addition, the white rice that was served with the fish was lukewarm. Normally, we would send all back, but we were in a rush to catch an event. The blueberry tart with ice cream as a dessert was very good.
Always have the most amazing time. The staff is warm and wonderful and the food is perfection.
Our family meets up in the city and Island is an ideal Spot. It's a great location and wonderful food. So many choices for everyone, especially their fish! Kale salad was a winner too. The martinis are delicious. The hostess and servers are so adaptable and attentive, you have everything before you even needed to ask. Go and
Lovely outdoor seating (so noise level rating does not apply). My only issue is that Lobster was pretty skimpy on the lobster quesadilla. Very pleasant in all other ways!
A really nice place with a wonderful staff and ambience, good food and service (John was great). Will definitely come back when in the area.

Nice local neighborhood place. It has an inviting vibe, good food, my burger was done very well, just needed a toasted bun (the blueberry cobbler was a bit too watery for me) however, their Key Lime pie was excellent. The staff is super friendly (John) and accommodating (the manager). Will be back to try other dishes when in the area.
Rarely write reviews unless I think a place is out of this world - I think this place was great (as I was only there for 30 mins), but felt the need to write a review because I almost didn’t come mainly because they have not so nice reviews from years ago that come up first & weren’t up to par with how amazing the food was. Came here for lunch and WOW. Food was absolutely amazing - was in a rush so didn’t get the full experience of slowly enjoying, however I was still very impressed with the little things no one ever notices unless you cook all the time! Thanks for a perfect NYC lunch! & thanks John who was my server for executing hospitality very well!

My very favorite neighborhood place. Always great food, service and vibe. Love the tuna burgers
The staff at island are so amazing and accommodating! They worked with me to come up with a unique and special gender reveal for my sister and brother in law’s new baby! They served a special PINK cocktail (made one nonalcoholic!) with a special message from me and received and presented balloons from door dash to the happy couple! They were so helpful and truly made this moment special for my family!
