Nice local neighborhood place. It has an inviting vibe, good food, my burger was done very well, just needed a toasted bun (the blueberry cobbler was a bit too watery for me) however, their Key Lime pie was excellent. The staff is super friendly (John) and accommodating (the manager). Will be back to try other dishes when in the area.

Rarely write reviews unless I think a place is out of this world - I think this place was great (as I was only there for 30 mins), but felt the need to write a review because I almost didn’t come mainly because they have not so nice reviews from years ago that come up first & weren’t up to par with how amazing the food was. Came here for lunch and WOW. Food was absolutely amazing - was in a rush so didn’t get the full experience of slowly enjoying, however I was still very impressed with the little things no one ever notices unless you cook all the time! Thanks for a perfect NYC lunch! & thanks John who was my server for executing hospitality very well!

The staff at island are so amazing and accommodating! They worked with me to come up with a unique and special gender reveal for my sister and brother in law’s new baby! They served a special PINK cocktail (made one nonalcoholic!) with a special message from me and received and presented balloons from door dash to the happy couple! They were so helpful and truly made this moment special for my family!

My grandson and I both enjoyed our dinner here. It was our first time and we chose it because the menu was appealing. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. I really liked the furnishings and set up. The service was very good and everyone was friendly. We ordered Sweet Potato Fries, Lobster Quesadilla, Watermelon Salad, Grilled Swordfish, Nicoise Salad with fresh tuna slices, and one scoop of Pistachio Gelato. We were delighted with the preparation and presentation of our dinner. I have one suggestion, and that is there should be more than 3 thin slices of fresh tuna. That is not an adult serving. However, I would definitely return to try other items.

The Island was so awesome, my wife and I, daughter and son in law came into the city and I made a blind reservation looking at your menu and location close to Central Park where we were. The food was incredible and the service was even better!! You have a gem there and good luck!

Very pleasant birthday lunch. My curried chicken salad was just ok but my sister said her salade nicoise was terrific. The service was very good and the setting pleasant.

Great place for relatively quiet meal. Food was not exceptional. Chicken curry not much curry. Salade Niicoise had dry, chewy tuna.

The meal was terrible. The service was extremely slow. Drinks had to be returned, and the food was ok. My entree came 30 minutes after everyone received their dish. Honestly, we were finished eating, I should have returned my dinner. We will never go back to Island.
