Islands is a great burger spot right in the heart of the city, hells kitchen. I love burger spots so I go all over in search of good burgers and this one is top 3 I've found in the city thus far. Along with delicious french fries and onion rings they are a small but memorable location. I like the make your own burger bit so I usually get that but they have some great sandwiches. And to top it all off they do have great shakes but by dessert im usually too full.

It's a good burger, but the price is ridiculous. Two burgers, two shakes and the bill was over $50.00. I know this is NYC, but seriously. They need to figure out a better way to pay their rent bill...maybe lower the prices and attract repeat customers?? Just sayin'.

Little hidden gem tucked in between a few other spots on 9th. Aside from the burgers being really good the people who work there just are super nice, and extremely hospitable. We will definitely be back soon!!!

9th Ave spot for good burgers and milkshakes. Ample portions, reasonably quick service and friendly staff. Half a dozen burger specialty's listed on the menu, even option to build your own. Nice fries and onion rings. Good spot to satisfy your burger craving.

Good burgers and fries. They have better than basic salads. Shakes are great. Mona Lisa was delicious. Spicy burgers are yummy but spiiiicy!

I do like the food here but the fact that they're trying to hide their poor health rating (a C, which is the lowest) had completely turned me off. I understand it sucks to post that kind of health grade but it's the law and you've been fined multiple times for not posting it. People should be aware before eating here that you don't have a clean kitchen. I'd give you one star if the food wasn't actually good. Please please clean up your kitchen and post your health grade.

Wow I was literally at the McDonald's up the street and for fries a McChicken and a double cheeseburger it came out to 970. I paid a dollar more at this place and got a way better meal. The quality of the meat is perfect and the fries we're so good and fresh out the fryer. I'm not the biggest fan of steak fries but for a cold chilly night like today this hit the spot. Definitely bookmarking this place. Will be a repeat customer for sure
Very nice burger place in hell's kitchen. The place is a little small, so it may be hard to find table for larger groups if you come during rush hour. But it's definitely something you have to try. Next time I will try the shakes as well!

Hey so you know do not order your burger medium! I did and got it Raw. Trying to get a burger medium it's not easy for a replacement burger.Been a customer before fries and prob lose many customers from Broadway theatres. Sorry Island Burgers don't be a Fugazy

Took a trip into the City during St. Patrick's Day weekend and stopped for a quick bite at Island Burgers & Shakes! The ambiance was quant and small, we sat at the bar which had about 6 seats. We ordered the special that included a drink, a burger and fries! We didn't wait long for our meal and I ordered my burger medium and it came out perfect. The fries were crispy and flavorful. I would definitively come back and recommend this place to anyone in midtown west looking for a decent place to get a burge
