Ordered for delivery and after an hour, called the store and they learned it was delivered to the wrong place. They promptly remade my order and it was delivered in under 20 minutes with a free order of edamame. Delicious and great service thank you Isohama!

Food is pretty good but it is too often not ready until long after it was promised. This happens even on weeknight when the restaurant is almost empty. Frustrating to have to wait for 20 minutes or longer after the time the food was supposed to be ready.

Horrible service. They seated us and did not take our order after sitting for 10 minutes. Watched them seat people after us and taken their order right away. They are just super disorganized and slow.

Sushi is decent. Appetizers suck. Definitely don’t order the gyoza it’s literally robbery. 5 tiny pieces for that price.

Update: The scam keeps on going.... They only refunded part of the fraudulent additional tip they charged to my credit acrd, which confirms what I wrote earlier: it was not a mistake. The owners are trying to steal money from unsuspecting customers
I called them to notify them. They hung up on my again and my subsequent 3 calls were not picked up. I guess my number is now officially blacklisted :)

Disappointing Decline at Isohama Under New Ownership

I used to eat at Isohama at least twice a week—sometimes even more—when it was under its previous ownership. The quality, consistency, and overall experience made it one of my go-to spots. Unfortunately, that all changed when the restaurant came under new management.

I gave them a try shortly after the transition, and the difference was immediate and disappointing. The gyoza I ordered was of noticeably poor quality—nothing like the flavorful, well-made version they used to serve. The entire experience was subpar, and I didn’t return for about eight months.

Tonight, on my way home from work, I decided to give them one last shot. It was late, I was hungry, and I figured I’d stick to simple items that are usually hard to mess up. I ordered an asparagus salad, shrimp sushi, and avocado rolls. Sadly, things have not improved.

The asparagus in the salad looked unwashed and was sloppily presented. The avocado rolls had barely any rice, and the avocado itself was overly thick and a bit under-ripe. To top it off, the wasabi was grainy—something I’ve never seen before. It even broke apart strangely when mixed with soy sauce. The meal was less than mediocre, but I ate it anyway out of hunger.

Big mistake. About an hour later, I had intense stomach cramps and ended up running to the bathroom multiple times.

It’s truly shocking that someone could inherit such a well-oiled machine—a thriving, quality-driven business—and run it into the ground so quickly. The food quality is now drastically different in the worst way. If you're looking for good sushi, do NOT eat at Isohama. It's no longer even halfway decent.

So sad to see a great spot fall apart like this..

Went in for an early Saturday dinner. They handed us a small menu of ramen, which I had not seen at this place before. I asked if they were hoods d was assured they were excellent. Orde

all that I had to eat the entire day. What a regret!

This sushi is decent but nothing remarkable, and the soup is just okay. The salad wasn’t great. They offer good prices for lunch deals and can satisfy a sushi craving, but the quality and flavor aren’t the best. You get what you pay for. The service is friendly, and they also serve hot tea with the meal. They have vegan options.
