Ixta is such a vibe! My friend and I were treated incredibly well from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere here? Incredible. They decorated so well and we couldn't stop taking photos and videos. Our waiter was more than happy to take our order which included multiple items-Diego is a star! Of course we had to try a million things: -Truffle Queso: as a truffle lover, this was a must. The truffle flavor wasn't overpowering-just right. Yum. -Nachos: these were perfect-I loved the ample toppings...black beans, cheese, pico, etc etc! -Fried Cauliflower: this was surprisingly my favorite dish of the night? Perfectly sauced, next time I'll order 2. -Equites: a delicious dish that had a lovely sweet/savory component. -Squash Blossom Taco: THANK YOU for having a meatless taco option that ISNT mushrooms or plain veggies. I loved this dish, and I love that you can order 1 at a time. We had some drinks as well, although I wasn't a huge fan of any of them, but maybe that's because I don't like tequila. The $75 Pesos was a decent choice for those who opt out of tequila. Overall, a fabulous experience. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all on point. Hopefully one day I'll start to like tequila so that I could enjoy more of the beverages here!

I was very excited when my food arrived on the table, it had a very good presentation and the potatoes were very delicious, but the chicken was raw in the middle which made me want to vomit I couldn't continue eating, so I had to go and asked for the check and I had to wait So long to get it ,there are so many employees but slow service.

The service was excellent! Our order was taken rapidly, with the drinks and apps arriving quite soon. Dinners arrived just as the app dishes were removed. Refills were poured unobtrusively as our glasses were emptied. Plates taken away as noon as the last bite was savored. This is what service should be. Often in NYC, poor service is par for the course. It’s as if servers think they’re entitled to a tip for nothing. Not here! Kudos to the front of the house manager for training the staff well!The food was delicious, especially the fried cauliflower appetizer. A day later and I’m still craving it. The fish tacos were the best I’ve ever had. Perfect crunch and blend of sauce and veggies. The guacamole was divine. We ate it up in minutes! I have ZERO complaints about the food, and all raves. Very well done!We will be back, and not just for holidays (we visited on Valentine’s Day).Thank you!

I came to Ixta for brunch with a friend a few weeks back and thought it would be a great option for my birthday dinner as the ambiance was entrancing, the menu was extensive, the drinks were delicious, and the servers were more than accommodating. I wish the portion for the Mayan jumbo prawns were larger. $18 for two prawns a little much don't you think? We as a whole table also agreed that the guacamole was disappointing especially since they did not come with chips they came with corn tostadas which wasn't ideal for a party of 9. The drinks were a hit across the board. The pollo a la brasa was phenomenal full of flavor and wonderful composition. Cute spot for brunch or a date plenty of photo ops. Solid 4 stars.

The hostess AND waiter never told me it was happy hour when I came in, so I basically paid a third more on tacos and a cocktail while eating in the dining room, instead of sitting at the bar to order. This feels very dishonest. Why nickel and dime customers!? There's a reason they're always empty when I pass by and now I know why.

Great ambience and menu. The salsa trio and the truffle queso fundido were so delicious. We definitely needed more chips with both, and fundido could be served with tortillas. It took a while for us to get our waters upon arrival. The churros need to be renamed as donuts, since that is what they are.
