Green Shakshuka was great! Very flavorful, eggs were a little overcooked. The Chicken Kebab was also delicious. Nice atmosphere.

The food is amazing and all the staff is really kind, but is too loud inside. Not recommended if you’re looking for a more calm and private space.

Terrible service. We asked to sit outside, and the owner told us to wait until a table became available. While we were waiting, two tables opened up — but each time, they seated other people who had just walked in from the street and happened to be friends of those already sitting near the tables that became free. Simply outrageous.

The food was very delicious and fresh. The spicy margaritas were spicy but were so tasty. Although a bit overpriced, it was a good experience.

Me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed our meal and dining experience at Freda. The staffs were incredibly hospitable and provided some of the most exceptional service we have experienced. Vegi Sandwiches and beet dips recommended by the server were highlights!
I will be definitely back!

A solid menu although I felt there could be a few more breakfast options and there are no a la carte options like scrambled eggs or a side of toast or sausage. Food was tasty and cappuccino was delicious. Service was prompt and the restaurant is clean and cute.

Disappointing experience after ordering the green shakshuka. A produce sticker had been cooked into the sauce, which was concerning — it suggested the tomatoes hadn’t been washed properly, and I was uncomfortable with the thought of plastic simmering in the dish. The staff did offer to replace it with a new one, which I appreciated, but the situation wasn’t really acknowledged beyond that. I wasn’t expecting anything comped, but given the nature of the issue, a gesture of apology would’ve gone a long way. Instead, it felt like it was brushed off and treated as no big deal.

I’ve been to several of this restaurant’s other locations and always enjoyed my experiences, which made this visit all the more disappointing. The service was unusually slow, and a couple of our dishes were brought out incorrectly, requiring additional wait time. During the meal, a server accidentally spilled sauce on me. While I understand accidents happen, I was surprised that nothing was offered to acknowledge the inconvenience—not even a small comped item or gesture of goodwill.

The food itself was good once it was sorted out, but the lack of attentiveness and follow-through left me feeling let down compared to the high standards I’ve experienced at their other locations.

A staple of the NYC food scene that is a very present heartbeat in SOHO, Jack’s Wife Freda lives up to the expectations of good food and good times eating said good food. Brunch is superb and dinner doesn’t disappoint. Thinking of the menu still makes me salivate if I’m honest. If you ever find yourself in SOHO make the time to indulge in this staple of a restaurant!
