I love Jacobs (especially the yellow rice and beans) I got food catered here for my baby shower, i filled out the order online a month ago and they made sure to keep in touch, they were really helpful and friendly too!

I don't eat at Jacob's that often, when I do I concentrate on the sides rather than the meat. I find their fried chicken hard so I really don't care for the meats but the cornbread is good. They have a live band on Sundays so if you want to check them out by all means please do so.

Great selection of food and reasonably priced. The salmon was very tasty, seafood rice, collard greens, candied yams, ribs, jerk chicken all well prepared and the best corn bread I've tasted. Loved that the food was not salty at all, lots of flavour and fresh.

The food was disgusting nothing about the food was good. The Mac & cheese had no floor just cheese. The spinach fried race was like mash potatoes. The fried tilapia taste like the sea it was extremely fishy like it wasn’t washed before they cooked it. The imitation crab salad was gross. The fresh fruits weren’t sweet at all. For over $20 I was highly disappointed. And I reminded myself why I don’t buy food from there. Not trying to be funny but all of the cooks in this soul food place are African. How can Africans cook soul food?

Great experience of eating soul food in Harlem with the locals. Fair prices, delicious food, great vibe. Highly recommended for people who want to experience soul food.

Beef was good but ribs and fried chicken were dry. Liked the corn bread though. You can pick what you like and weigh it so the store lets you try a bit of everything

Employees were no nonsense when I visited for the first time. Food selection overwhelmed me with delight. I was second person on line to pay. Unfortunatly, I tried to make small talk since line disappated. But, it was like pulling teeth just to get a response back. Not even a simple hello or a returned smile. The solume faces from two people standing behind the register. I complemented the food and set up. But no tesponse. I repeated myself thinking perhaps they didn't hear me. The cook in the kitchen heard me. He stuck his head out of the small galley kitchen window. He responded in kind to myself and everyone else. Now, that was a great moment. I'm not from the city. So, I was a little apprehensive when making the trip with my five friends. The service as well as the food quality matters. Jacob's Pickle has a buffet style eatery with no chairs. Great entry for wheelchair, or cane user, no stairs. Inside as well is handicapped friendly. I will be back and I told others about this place and that's not small talk.

This place is soooo good!! I dined here with my girl on a Friday night.. my first time.. they had some live music, not too loud, just right. And a lot of food to choose from. The food is great!! And the best part is how inexpensive it all came out to be. For both plates, it came to around $34.

The kitchen is good. Exotic and full of flavors. You can eat there or take away. Everyone helps themselves to what they want and we pay by weight.
