Great dining experience all around. The food was innovative and delicious. It combined familiar elements (burritos, tacos) in an innovative vegan context. I am not vegan but this was some of the best Mexican food I had so far.

Before I even lived in the neighborhood Jajaja was easily one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I have brought so many friends here because it is perfect from anywhere to a date night to a chill lunch/dinner to catch up with friends. Their cocktails are amazing especially their version of an espresso martini. All of the staff is so friendly and always make sure you're taken care of at all times. On top of everything and most importantly the food is AMAZING. Although I am not vegan anymore, I still can call this my favorite restaurant because they do everything on their menu so well and it's rare in my experience where vegan food is indistinguishable from non-plant based food and my favorite is the enchiladas mole. Highly recommend!
Best cocktails so far on our trip and most attentive staff we have been with. 10/10

I was thrilled to visit this venue. The ambiance, bartender's attentiveness, and my drink were all fantastic. However, the food requires more focus. I'll stop there as this place made an effort, and I am open to giving it another try.

If you're looking for amazing Mexican food in the city AND want it to be vegan without even realizing it's vegan, look no further! This adorable, fun and lively restaurant will brighten up your day and the service is always an added bonus.I already know I am going to get hungry writing this review, so here it goes.Start with the nachos, you will not be disappointed. Surprisingly, they make for good leftovers, if you end up with any! Their cocktails are excellent if you drink, or if you don't like me - I love their mocktails. They usually have seasonal options that end up being knock-your-socks-off amazing. My husband's fave is the enchiladas mole, I prefer the tacos - you can't go wrong with either option. The only thing I'll say is, you MUST not leave without trying the "egg" tacos! They are sooooo gooood! The mushroom and sweet potato tacos are also very good. I like getting the esquites as a side. My favorite way to end the meal is with the churritos...they are so adorable and come with the most delicious coconut dulce de leche dipping sauce *chef's kiss*...As I said I would be after writing this, I am now hungry and am going to see if my family wants to go here for dinner tonight :) Hope you end up loving Jajaja as much as we do!
So many people recommended we stop by Jajaja while we're in Nyc! The vibes were great, drinks amazing, food was delicious too.Started with the Beet & pumpkin empanadas (perfect savory and sweet), then the Hongos quesadilla (my personal fav), enchiladas mole, and chorizo burrito.A little sad they didn't have elotes, since we had seen them in previous reviews.

We just celebrated my wife's bday there with the whole family (ages 12-80!) and had a great time. Everything was excellent. We had a number of meat eaters in the group and think they were genuinely shocked by how much they enjoyed the vegan food at jajaja. Also - with the top notch service you will not be waiting at all for the next round of margaritas. If you are planning a large group, work with Fee and she will make sure everything runs smoothly. We will be back.
The jackfruit carnitas tacos are delicious and I don't eve like jackfruit. Get the nachos as an entree for something really filling. They're massive.

Love this place. I’ve been here a couple of times and wanna keep going back to this one. The service is real quick and this is one of the best scrumptious vegan place I’ve ever been to. The Buffalo flower is my favorite here! Gotta love the chefs here!
Jajaja Mexicana redefines Mexican cuisine through a fully vegan lens. As an avid enthusiast of both Mexican flavors and plant-based dining, I eagerly ventured into this vegan haven to explore a menu that promised innovative takes on beloved classics. The cocktails at Jajaja Mexicana are a standout feature, boasting freshness and a spicy kick. Pineapple Mezcal, in particular, stood out for its super refreshing taste, making it the perfect accompaniment to our Mexican feast. The Pollo tacos were a revelation, showcasing the culinary prowess of Jajaja Mexicana in replicating meat with plant-based ingredients. The vegan "chicken" was juicy and bursting with flavors, earning full marks for its authenticity. The balance of textures and the rich, savory filling left us craving for more. The Enchiladas Verde stole the show, proving that vegan options can be just as indulgent and flavorful as their traditional counterparts. Each bite was a delightful homage to traditional Mexican street food, minus the meat. While the journey through Jajaja's menu was mostly a symphony of delightful flavors, the Nachos didn’t work for me. Though generous in portion size, the flavors lacked the cohesion found in the rest of the dishes. Didn't find the Buffalo flower tacos appetizing too.Despite the minor hiccup, Jajaja Mexicana's expansive and enticing menu ensures that I'll be back for more culinary adventures..
