For a James beard winner we expected more. Food is ok, nothing blew us away. Service just ok. Wild mushroom frittata a total loser- over salted dry omelette with few mushrooms. Manager was wonderful when we said it
Came for brunch on a Sunday and was greeted by a really lovely atmosphere and such kind staff. Sam was our server and she was so kind and attentive! She also gave great recommendations (I had the french toast and bellini!) The food was really fresh, and well-prepared! My french toast was so decadent, the lemon curd and homemade whipped cream was incredible. I love anything made with vanilla bean, and this whipped cream was some of the best I’ve tried in a while. A bit steep on the pricing but it’s NYC, so I was prepared. The ingredients were mostly fresh, but overall could be better (at least the vegetarian options which is what we had mostly; sourdough was a bit chewy, frittata was dry).
French toast was incredible!!
Would certainly give it another try (probably for lunch or dinner, over brunch). Highly recommend!
