I like this place. Atmosphere is lively but not loud. Pastries are great. They’ve got some holiday tchotchkes for sale. Old school self serve for both coffee and pastries, its almost got the global vintage coffeehouse aesthetic.
My favorite coffee place on the upper east side. Warm cozy nook for sitting. Friendly baristas. Decent food. On a sunny day there’s a great coterie of older patrons sitting outdoors that’s like a slice of Rome.
Honestly, I love the place and I definitely love the workers that work here. I got an Apple caramel iced latte, I already thought the drink was pretty well made. When I was going to add some sugar on the side, the barista told me that it was a while since she made the drink and that she forgot to add some apple syrup, as there’s already hints of apple in the bean roast, and asked if she could add it to the drink. It caught me off guard, i really didn’t notice the lack of apple...
