We stopped by Jimmy’s Corner around 9:30 PM while walking through Midtown Manhattan — and the place was already buzzing with energy. The diviest of dive bars, and MAN is it a hit! Come here if you love old school tunes on the juke, cheap drinks, (SERIOUSLY CHEAP, makers mark manhattan? Nine bucks in 2025). Beers are a few bucks. Dont come if you absolutely expect to sit, if you want peace and quiet, or a martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. Did i mention though that this was the most SOLID dive I’ve been to in Manhattan so far?
The bar itself is beautiful with great prices. I'd give it 5 stars, but the waitstaff rolled their eyes when I was ordering. When I asked for cocktail recommendations, the waitress laughed at me, saying she had everything but no menu, so I had nothing to choose from. After enduring her arrogant behavior, she then lectured me that their drinks are cheap enough that I should leave a tip. The lady looked like she genuinely hated her job.
