I often struggle at coffee shops - the issue is the price and then the atmosphere as I think of the price as a payment for the time you spend there working. Sometimes the atmosphere makes it hard to work and if the prices are especially high then it’s sad for me, though when it’s done right it’s one of my joys in life to read/work in a coffee shop.
This coffee shop is my favorite so far and it might be my favorite going forward: the music is not too loud. It’s clean and cozy, unpretentious. The prices are what you’d expect these days, not unreasonably high. Located in a charming area. Also the espresso is really good. I came here to work and was productive. They had cute holiday decorations iirc. Everyone was friendly as well!

Asked for iced latte and they just mixed some already made coffee with milk, no fresh espresso shot. Service and quality has gone way down.

Stopped in for a quick bite before an interview and it all helped to calm me down- the tasty chocolate croissant, the matcha tea, friendliness of the staff, and the vibes. As I sat drinking my tea, I noticed that the staff knew everyone who came in by name and by order (or almost everyone). It was so nice to hear a local coffee shop really being loved by the locals. I hope I get the job so I can become like those regulars I saw. Also, everything was reasonably priced for NYC!
